Update on Zoe
by: Anonymous

Zoe is now 7 months old and weighs about 5.5 pounds. She's as cute and energetic as ever. It appears that many small breeds in our area are
unfortunately the product of puppy mills. When
we purchased her, we were told that the seller
was a breeder who "just happened" to have a
malti-poo she was selling for a "friend." I
know of at least 8 people in my small town who have purchased various toy breeds from this "breeder." It appears this person is a broker and not a breeder. When I traced things back, it appears Zoe was born in PA and transported to CT for sale. Puppies sold
as litter mates, look nothing alike when they mature. We love our Zoe as do all the other unwitting buyers, but we're sickened to think we
might have contributed to the misery of PA dogs
trapped in puppy mills.
Zoe was sold as having been wormed and given
her beginning shots, yet our vet found a slight heart murmur, parasites, giardia, and a liver abnormality. Luckily, all these conditions have been resolved. Next time, when we request to see
the parents, and they are not available, we'll
leave before "falling in love." We adopted a
female malamute from the shelter January 2nd.

Keggs
by: Jenny and Kegan

Kegan is in the process of learning shake! He know sit and lay-down! ( although shake is the toughest for Keggs ) Hes a healthy boy! Though he does have a sensitive tummy! Kegan does bark and stands up straight when he hears strange noises! He trots around the house like a little show dog! ( And he is in my eyes! ) Kegan is housebroken, and uses a potty pad. Quite easy for him to my dis-may! = ) Your ZOE is a DOLL! What a little dream! Im sure Zoe and Kegan would be GREAT friends!
