Lexi passed on March 5, 2012. Our Maltese lived for 9 1/2 years. Although she struggled with various ailments; liver failure, pancreatitis and bad back/disc problems she lived a happy life and bounced back each time to her adorable little self. However, the lastest liver ailment was just too much for Lexi to overcome. Lexi was the sweetest, most loving and compliant little girl anyone could want although, she had a mind of her own sometimes too. Lexi had the most expressive face and eyes, you just knew what she wanted. She loved doing tricks and learned them very quickly. Lexi had people she absolsutely adored but was a bit shy with strangers. Lexi loved to be held and whoever sat on the one specific end of the couch was the person to do the holding, even people she did not absolutely adore, they had to hold her.

We miss our Maltese dog Lexi terribly and remember her each and every day. We will always love you Lexi and you will forever be in our hearts!!!

Lexi NEW
by: Tina

My daughter and I were just reading the memorial to Lexi and tears suddenly filled our eyes. Our family knows what you are going through. We lost our maltese, Calvin, to heart failure 3 weeks ago. We were blessed to have him for 13 years. He was loving, loyal, and wonderful with children. Calvin brought great comfort to me when my mother passed away. He was always there to make me smile and warm my heart, no matter what came my way. He was such a special part of our family. Although your heart is broken and you may find it difficult to get through many days without tears, try to remember all the joy Lexi brought into your life as well as the loving home you were able to provide for Lexi. Remembering the good times, sharing stories, and talking to others who have lost a pet has helped our family during this time of grief, and I hope it will bring you some comfort as well.

I'm so sorry.
by: Beth

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your baby! We have a 14 year old maltese whose name is Angelica snow flake. She now has Cushings disease. She is hungry all the time and vomits practically every day. She also is deaf now but she is still the love of our life. I know how much you must be hurting.

So Sorry
by: Monica

My heart goes out to you for losing your little Lexi. She sure is cute and it sounds that you gave her the best life possible, even though she had health issues. I hope the many memories you have of Lexi will give you comfort because she would not want you to be sad every time you thought of her but joyful. I believe you will see her again and on that day she will run and jump into your loving arms.

Loss of Lexi
by: Anita

I'm so sorry for your loss. It is always so hard to lose our pets, because they become so much apart of our lives. I've had my Maltese Enzo for 2 years, and can only imagine the pain you are feeling. I'm sure Lexi knew how much she was loved, and remember that your lives were better because she was in it..

I had one maltese too PRINCE
by: Grace Mologni

My Prince was my life, he looked exactly like Lexi and have some pictures in almost same position like her. I had the joy of sharing his life for 16 years. I understand your pain and sorrow because after 6 years still carry his loss. Malteses are very hard to get over because,
eventhough I love all dogs, they are so special. Like you say they have a mind of their own,My Prince though he was human, they enter into your heart and never leave. But as I, you have plenty of stories to tell about Lexi, plenty of pictures and silly moments, or walks shared through the years. Cherish the time you shared with her, and
the memories of love and fun. She lives in your heart and soul, like Prince in mine forever.

Some day we will be together again. They are God's gifts to us, but only for a while.
Sorry for Lexi's loss, but cherish with pride her life.

My Heart is with you!
by: BlinkyWilson

I am so sorry your fur baby went over the Bridge but rest assured she will be as she was when you first knew her. Im sure she will be met by the welcoming committe and after a good bath and grooming and a super meal with lots of snacks she will be waiting for you and your time. I have 3 Malties and they make my life worth living. I bought my 1st from a breeder and then decided to get 2 more who were rescues, a bonded pair of little gurls. When I got my first, my husband and I were getting ready to retire and all I wanted to do was comb my boy's hair and walk him and go to dog shows. In between him and the gurls we got permanent custody of our 9 yr old grand-daughter. At late 50's this was not what we expected from life. I was so beat down and physically tired all the time I knew it was Maltie Time again. I got the gurls and it helped me get through all the rest. I have teens running in and out of my house with 3 Malties niping and yapping all the time and my house is never as clean as it once was nor or the pups as groomed as they once were...BUT without them I would not be able to work full time and raise a child at my age. They give me strength with their complete and total love. Pls greive yor baby and maybe when it is time consider a rescue they are double the Maltie love. Remember your baby wouldnt want you to be without Maltie Love for very long!

Loss of Lexi
by: Darlene

I'm so sorry for your loss, I know how they become a part if us. They become our children, when our children are gone. We just lost our poodle in January she would have been 16. Nut we had received a malshi last January after my mother passed. Leo is 3/4 shitzu and 1/4 Maltese and he has become our new world. Sometimes you loose that precious one like Lexi, maybe someday a new one will give you a new happiness. Praying for you.

Lexi
by: Anonymous

So sorry to hear the loss of your sweet Lexi, I know how hard it was to let her go. I lost my Maltese Toby last March from Bladder cancer and it was so hard to see him suffer and even harder for me to see him go, even though I know he's not suffering anymore. Hang in there I"ll be praying for you and your family.

So sorry
by: Betsy

There is nothing like a dog. Sorry that Lexi had to leave you to go back to God. I have lost many best furry and feathered friends over the years and it always hurts so bad. I miss them all and think of them often, and pray one day we will all be together again.Hopefully when the time comes, you will find a new little friend to adopt in Lexi's honor. So one is waiting in a shelter near you, who needs you as much as you miss Lexi. <3
