I had read that filtered water helps with tear stain. I have filtered water through my refrigerator, so easy enough to try. I have noticed a significant improvement since only using filtered water.

When we first got our maltipoo,Lacey,we gave her regular tap water.She was on commercial dog food ie Science Diet & IAMS and her tear stains were terrible!We had to clean her eyes almost every day.After I read up on tear stains in Maltese I started giving her filtered water from the bottle.Her tear stains has decreased by 99%.Now,we still have tear stains but only need to clean it about once to twice a week!Defiantly a remedy that works & also natural dog food helps too!
