Great Female Dog Names - Mochi

I found a great female dog name for my Maltese. Mochi is a Japanese Hawaiian dessert treat made from ground rice flour. It's a New Years traditional to make mochi balls and put them on display to welcome the good spirits. The ice cream filled version is available at grocery stores. Oso Ono (Hawaiian for "Oh, so delicious").

Great Female Dog Names - Penny

I found a great female dog name. I named my dog Penny because I thought it was a really cute name after watching the Disney movie The Rescuers. The little girl in the movie is named Penny.

I also thought it fit well because when I got her at 6 weeks, she was black and a copper color. But that color has mostly grown out and you can only see it a little bit on her face and ears. The rest of her is a blonde color. She is still my Penny though.

I found a great female dog name from a movie. I love Sally Field and growing up in the 60's I enjoyed all the Gidget movies... so.... when I picked up my Maltese puppy from the breeder it was the first name that popped into my head. And it fits her. She is so sweet and so cuddly and loves laps. My fluffy puppy. She is 3/4 Maltese and 1/4 Pom. She is a fur ball. But so sweet.

Great Female Dog Names - Avery

Our Avery will be 3 in Feb 2011 and when she was born, my daughters and I couldn't agree on a name for her. We were looking for great female dog names and at first we liked Ivory because she was like ivory snow and after saying Ivory a few times we all agreed she looked more like an Avery and this name fits her perfect.

Although she is a great dog she is also a very spoiled brat. But no one in our family would trade her for anything. She is very special to us.

Great Female Dog Names - Mi Mi

I used to have a little tea cup Poodle named Mi Mi she was only 16 oz. She wasn't doing well so we handed her over to our vet. After MiMi we got a male Poodle Rover but I wanted a female so I could name her after my first puppy. 7 years later my Poodle was diagnosed with diabeties and my elderly nieghbor grew fond of Rover and Rover was going blind so my nieghbor "adopted" him from us. After Rover had been living with my neighbor for about a year me and my mom became lonely soooo we would look online every day for a perfect match. MiMi!!!!!!!! and I as a promised my first dog that I would name my next female dog after her. That's how Mimi's name became.
