Highland Maltie - Benito del Toro

We adopted our Highland Maltie puppy from a rescue group called "Without Boarders". Benny was found in Rosarito Mexico in a gas station and was all black from the oil. They assume he was an escapee from a puppy mill or abandoned. I adopted him 1 month ago and did not know of his unique co-mingled breed status.

He is energetic, intelligent,loves to cuddle and very loving and often funny as he cocks his head and appears to understand quite a bit of language. He is about a year old, 12" long and 10 pounds of fun!

How Fun to hear about Charlie Chappy and his ties to Benny. I would loveto see a picture of him- I saw Molly but not Charlie. Wild spirit is right! We did not go through the puppy stage as he was 8 months when we adopted him but he sure is the dickens when not constantly entertained! These dog are just adorable and we am over the top about having him.

so - it was the move to Mexico that broke our family up eh? I am the auntie of Charley Chappy and he now lives with my sister - I fostered him and his wild spirit for 3 mos. and he is now happy as a lark in New England w/ my sister and looks so much like your Benito Del Toro - boy o boy - well if my sister 'did' email I'd send her your guy -he's adorable - we'll have to live and die w/ this secret - lol!!! :-) have a great holiday w/ your little boy!
