Maltalier - Snert
by Neal
(Australia)
Snert is my Maltalier (Maltese King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix) named after cartoon character Hagar the Horrible's little dog.
For the past 30 years I have always had a Cavalier at my side, sadly most have died slowly from genetic heart disease.
After 1 year without man's best friend at my side ... I met and fell in love with a little tricolour Maltalier.
Snert, is now 10 months old and he is a much loved and loving companion. From day one together he has always been his own little person, always gentle and very well behaved ... with no naughtiness to speak of. He is amazingly easy to train, very quick to learn and generally our sessions together end up with him training the trainer!
His favourite toys are balls with bells inside and throw-and-fetch is his favourite game.
Cavalier cross-breeds, such as Maltaliers ... have been recommended in Australia as being the second choice in top 10 family dogs. They are fabulous little family dogs, which have fewer veterinary problems than their purebred parents
Let's hope so!!
