Maltese Chinese Crested Powderpuff - Mr. Cash

Mr. Cash, my Maltese Chinese Crested powderpuff dog mix claimed me when I went to visit the local animal shelter. I had seen him on petfinder.com, but when I first went to look at him the shelter was about to close and so I wasn't able to take him out of the pen and audition him.

I went back the next day and as soon as he clapped eyes on me he KNEW I was there to see him and quite possibly take him home.

Mr. Cash was named "Cash" by the shelter folk and answered to his name so I didn't think it appropriate to change it. Because of his spunky personality, that I had just watched the Joaquin Phoenix movie Walk the Line, and that I busted him out of a doggy jail that reminded me of Folsom Prison -- I added a Mr. to the front of his name. He likes it.

Mr. Cash is a delight. He is HIGHLY trainable, incredibly loving, very snuggly and very playful. He's a good watch dog, and gets along very well with other people and pets.

The shelter told me he is a Chinese Crested dog but then my dog groomer suggested to me that he might be a Crested Malt. I looked at this website and many others -- he fits ALL the specifications. I have not seen a picture yet that doesn't look like him.

Take a look at his pic... This was taken a month or so after I had adopted him -- his fur was still growing out.

Little Casper
by: Linda

My chinese powder puff/maltese is now 5 months old and weighs 8 lbs. He is almost house broken so good to go there. He is very playful and a loving little guy we named Casper. He is white with a tan streak on his ears, paws, and back. His ears are big so I am assuming he is getting that from the Chinese side. His hair is growing and from what I have been told it will be long and straight.

Mr Cash
by: Anonymous

That is ironic. I just picked up a 6 year old Powderpuff Chinese Crested named Cash from a shelter in Grandview, MO. 3 legged, 6 year old, heart stealer.

New Puppy
by: Linda

I just purchased a chinese crested powder puff/maltese mix. To such joy and the little guy is 8 weeks old and full of spunk, and is somewhat potty trained on paper. He is solid white and we named him Casper. I feel fortunate to have found him. He will be a good pet and am anxious to watch him grow.
