Maltese Pomeranian Puppy - Sugar Cookie

sugar at 13 weeks
What a good dog! My Maltese Pomeranian puppy such a crowd pleaser. I did my research before I bought this dog. I never owned a dog before but felt like I wanted to give it a try. I wanted a dog I could handle in a small space and always found Pomeranians to be cute but felt like a mixture might end up with a better personality and better health.
So sugar took to me immediately as a puppy. She lost all shyness within a week and began to be very bitey, and peed everywhere! She would charge at my head playfully all the time and frankly it hurt. I began to watch "It's me or the dog" a British program about dog training... oh my god it changed my dog instantly. She immediately started using her puppy pads, became gentle, knocked of that barking, and began to play in ways I could handle. She learned tricks within a day or less. She is the smartest thing! At four and half months my little dog can even be taken outside and stick with me and not run off with out a leash.
Shes extremely social which is what I wanted. She loves people and even small children. She does NOT bite the kids and runs up to people wanting to be petted, played with and picked up. When I go to social gatherings people thank me for bringing her. What prompted me in writing this is if you train your dog, talk sweetly to her, give her treats, and take a positive approach you can have a dog that is really the joy of your life to be around. Maybe I just got lucky to have the best dog in the world!
sugar is now eight pounds and may get a tiny bit longer, her face is much more Pom, but her hair is still short at 4 months, sadly the ears stand up strain now unless shes very sleepy
