Hi Liza and happy holidays if this reaches you.

Liza, I'm writing to say that, without your permission, I've "borrowed" this picture of your adorable Ruby. But in my defense, my reason is a good one.

I'm part of a pet rescue operation in a very isolated part of North Carolina, and a little fellow called "Jamie", whose description very much matches your Ruby, has gone missing. It always terrifies me when pets get "lost" on Christmas eve.

Jamie's "parents" don't have access to computers or digital cameras, so I've taken the liberty of posting Ruby's picture to my Facebook page, along with a HomeAgain plea for his safe return. With the help of Ruby's picture, my fellow pet rescuers will have a better idea of what they're looking for.

I hope you can find it in your heart to permit this, but if not, please write to me at the address below and I'll remove the photo immediately.

My dog does that, too! If she wants a belly rub, she will lay on her back at my feet and clap her paws together. If she just wants my attention, she will stand on her hind legs and clap them together. (She learned it from her mom!)
