I have a 13 week old Morkie "Belle" her picture, although not a very good one is on this site as new. Belle has plenty of toys and rawhide to chew on but likes to chew daddy's fingers and grab clothes. We are working on it but she gets so excited to see him when he gets home from work. I am with her all day so she knows she can't get away with as much with mommy. When she does decide to bite or chew my hand, I try to just hold still (not easy with those sharp puppy teeth) I tell her firmly NO BITE. She is doing pretty good about catching on. When she grabs clothes, I take them out of her mouth and kind of hold her mouth shut for a second saying NO BITE. She doesn't like it and is quickly off to find something else to terrorize like her lab brother. She is also so cuddly when she wants to be or when she is sleepy. Belle weighs almost 4 pounds now so I'm not sure how big she will get. She is really a feminine little girl so hopefully she will stay small, either way we love her so much.

Bitter apple did not work with Chloe. But you are right it is so cute, so I just jump around yelling no no. It happens most of time when it is meal time though. But I do have little bite marks on the back of my legs. There is a new posting on here today for Gizmo that looks just like Chloe now, because I just clipped her the other day. I wrote her also, because he looks like my chloe does now, except mine has a docked tail and hers has a Maltese tail. I sure hope your Anabella lives a long life and gives great loves and wonderful times like my Chloe has given me. I wish I could send you a picture of the way Chloe looked as a puppy because they could have been twins at that age. You will find as she grows what a great bred they are. They have the best of both breeds!! Sandy

Aww, look at Chloe! I love the dropped ear on our Morkies; I think it's what makes them extra cute,(compared to a Yorkie...but I am biased). Two doggies! We were so tempted to also purchase a bulldog pup, who had been at the pet store for too long, when we bought Annabella, but I did not think I could handle two pups, and all the training, at the same time. We think next year will be a good time to add to our family. (or maybe summer). Your new baby nips at your heels when she wants something? How lucky are you! Annabelle is a major nipper, and biter. And I am having trouble not getting mad when I keep getting hurt! I am on a bitter apple quest, today. I just counted it out, and she is 12-1/2 weeks old today. She has plenty of chew toys...any advice? Oh, and she is not from Ohio; we bought her in Hesperia, but her papers say she was born in Arkansas. But you never know they could be related : )

We love this story! We are 2 Maltese dogs, and we are also Maltese Maniacs, and we just love this post. We are so glad that you have these two doggies. Also, LuLu is 5 pounds and LoLLy is 9, but LoLLy says if you want to weigh less just lie about your weight. We spend our spare time raising money and awareness about rescue dogs, because LoLLy was a rescue! Come visit us too! Love, Your PaLs, LuLu and LoLLy!
