Polly and Swiffer's Beagle Mix Puppies

by Elizabeth
(Currie, MN)

Molly and Spike

Molly and Spike

I raise Malteagles or Maltese Beagle mix puppies. Polly is a 14lb Tri-colored AKC registered Beagle. Swiffer is an 8lb AKC registered Maltese. They've had two litters so far and everyone that adopted their pups has been extremely satisfied.

They are smart, quick learning, courageous and affectionate dogs. They do not have the loud beagle bark. One of the owners says her Malteagle rings a bell hanging from the door knob when he needs to go out. This is a great hybrid.

I could use some advise NEW
by: Anonymous

My Maltese just gave birth to 3 puppies and the daddy is a beagle. This was an accident that occurred when she got out of our yard while I was working. I was very relieved when the puppies all turned out healthy and at 3 days old, she is a great momma. Can you give me any advise on this hybrid breed and if the mom and dad both have papers, can the puppies be registered? Is there any special care or helpful information on raising them that I can provide for the individuals whom may want to take them home when they are old enough, or for me until they are old enough. Honestly, any information would be a great help!!!
Thank you so much,
Kristi Walker

Do you still breed beagles and malteses? I've been looking for one and would be interested if you have any available. Please let me know.

Lucy Lou
by: Joyce Ireland

Hi Liz,

I'm so glad I found your blog! I lost your email last winter when I had my email hyjacked. Today is Lucy Lou's birthday, November 7, 2009. My daughter came and pick her up the day after Christmas in a snow storm! We love Luc so much! Our black lab, Sammy, adores her too! And now this summer we added Miss Kitty to the family! Our pets are our entertainment! We feel like the movie Homeward Bound :)

Interested in Malteage Puppy
by: Monica

Hi,

I first fell in love with Malteagle puppies when I saw one in New York. However, I am having an impossible time finding a breeder. Could you let me know when Polly and Swiffer have another liter? Or if you have any friends that breed Malteagles- I am very interested.

Thank you!

That's our boy!
by: Spikes Family

Spike has been such a wonderful addition to our family. Is is such a loving little guy and is truely one of the family. We refer to him as our son and our children refer to him as their brother. I can't take credit for teaching him how to ring the bell, when he needs to go potty. One day I hung the bell and rocked it from side to side, saying potty and ever since he just rings it. When Spike is out of water or is hungry, he heads to the laundry room where our ironing board is hanging on the wall and he bangs it against the wall. Smart boy. We love him so much..... He sure is a best friend, son, grandson and brother!

Our granddog Spike
by: Anonymous

Papa Dale bought Spike for his granddaughters, Liz and Olivia, however I think mom Renae is the most attached to her "baby". Spike is the one that learned to ring the bell when he wants to go outside. We think Spike knows Papa was the one responsible for bringing him into such a loving family, he gets so excited each time Papa comes to visit or he hears Papa's name.

Spike and Molly live in the same neighborhood and visit each often.

That's our girl!
by: Molly's family

Molly is a great family dog. She has so much personality. Our son has taught her to do a number of tricks. She was very easy to housetrain. We couldn't have picked a better family companion. She is awesome!
