My Maltipoo Tego passed away today
by: Tego's Mom

HI,
I googled and discovered this page. I'm sorry for your loss and I NOW understand. I lost my maltipoo Tego Von Hilton Cools, today. I received him as a gift on my birthday on 4/19/2011. He stole my heart from the moment we met. I never owned a pet, and Tego was like my child and I loved him. 5 days after receiving him, he was sick and I rushed him to the vet. The MD said he had Parvovirus and would need to be treated asap and put in ICU. He was admitted the same day and he received all the medical care possible. I learned the virus is a harsh one on puppies. Tego tried hard to fight. He passed away today 4/28/2011. I'm in tears, but glad I could share and that you shared Maxx's story.

The Rainbow Bridge
by: Laura

Joe and Family,

I just lost my yellow lab a few days before Chrismas and I totally undertand....I share your grief and know how empty the house feels with the loss of a beloved pet. I am thinking I need another dog but cannot replace my lab ever and am thinking of going the opposite route with a cute little Maltipoo. Please know you are in my thoughts, google the poem called the rainbow bridge...it may give you comfort with the loss of Maxx. Take care.

Maxx
by: Susan

Joe, I know how your heart is breaking. We lost our minature Schnauzer last October after 12 beautiful years of unconditional love. I thought I wasn't going to make it through it. I did a lot of reading and found a book by Sylvia Browne who is my Christian Physic that I follow. Her book of All Animals go to Heaven really helped me understand that Abby is never really gone from us. She is here watching over us until it's time for us to be together again. I have her ashes in a memory box with her photo and a poem and it still means a lot to us. I had said no more puppies, I can't go through that again. I had such an empty spot in my heart, I cried all the time. Then in December I had a dream that Abby told me tbat she wanted another puppy to be as lucky as she had been and to have the wonderful love and life she had. I know she will never be replaced and so does she. We saw a picture of a litter of Morkies and I instantly fell in love with a little black and white female. I knew the minute that I held Belle that I could love her without replacing my Abby. Belle is 9 months old now and she is so loved. I show her Abby's picture and tell her stories about her "sister". She listens with her little head tipped as though she understands every word I say. My heart has healed as love for Belle has helped fill that empty spot, but there is and always will be that spot that belongs only to my Abby Girl. Don't be afraid to love again, Maxx would want you to and he knows he will be with you again someday. Sylvia says when it's time for us to "go home" our family members who will meet us at the light better stand back cause the animals we have loved and lost will knock everyone over trying to be the first to smother us with those warm wonderful wet kisses.
God bless your family and Maxx. He is in a beautiful place, young and healty and playing with all the others until you come home too.

So very sorry
by: Cricket's mom

I am so sorry to hear about Maxx. You have my deepest sympathy. They are not "just dogs" - they are hairy four legged members of the family.

I have had dogs in my life one way or another since I have been six years old. I am now 48. Every time we had to put a dog down, we swore we would never get another one as it is so painful and we never thought we could get another one as great as the one we lost.

But we always did and enjoyed every minute with every one of them! We have had a poodle, Lhasa Apsos and spaniels. Each has such a different personality and they have all been great! My mom says the joys of owning a dog outweigh the sorrow of losing one.

A friend's family has always had miniature schauzers and each one of them was unique and special. Dogs are just wonderful, period!

You will never forget Maxx and how you loved him so much. But please consider getting another dog when your life settles down. I don't think you would regret it. Somewhere there is another little dog just waiting to love you.

My condolences on your loss
by: Anonymous

I am so very sorry for your loss. I have a maltipoo puppy, and I understand how special these little guys are. Though Maxx will always be in your heart, I hope with some time your memories of him will make you smile once again and your pain will cease.

If you've never seen the website Rainbow Bridge, you should view it as you may find a bit of comfort there. It is lovely and dedicated to pets who have passed over to that special place. There are beautiful poems, etc and you may gain some comfort during this difficult time.

Wishing you peace again in your heart, and sending you sincere condolences. ♥

Sad Story-Maxx
by: Peggy

Joe..You have my sincere condolences on your loss. There are times in life when no words can give comfort. This is one of those times. Maxx was a gift taken shortly after it was given. It's not ours to be angry with God or to question how he could allow such a thing to happen. The answer is disturbingly simpe..we will never know. We humans don't like the not-knowing epecially when the pain is so great, it threatens to over-take our lives. We can only say we had a glimpse of the purest kind of love, that between man and man's best friend, and it is powerful and enduring. So, mark the day that this gift was given to you, maybe Maxx reminds of how precious time is, maybe his mission during his brief time on this earth was to remind us how great love is. Embrace it, live it and remember the unconditional love Maxx gave you. Perhaps after your family is settled, you may get another Maltese Mix dog..you already know how wonderful they are. Peggy
