Shitzu Mix - Tristan Michael Fluffinutter

My Maltese Shitzu mix Tristan was sent to Animal Care and Control on November 11, 2008. His "owner" said they couldn't trust him and maybe he's sick. I had just lost my Schnoodle on October 15. He was yet another pound adoption.
My husband walked in the door with what looked like a matted mop. He also smelled like a doggie outhouse. His hair was matted almost to the skin, his hair was in his face, he could not see thru it, and he stunk to the stars! After one eye's view was opened by extensive trimming, he acctually almost quit snapping. We were up until 2AM grooming him. I fell in love the first night and he has only gotten better! My Maltese Shitzu mix is the most precious dog in the world. The other day I was ready to leave so my husband reached for him and he acctually shifted his weight into me so my husband would not take him! It was so cute.
He is about one year and seven months and has endeared himself to EVERYONE in my family, and many in my husband's also. The previous "owner" only needed to spend time with him, bathe, FEED,and PET him. He is amazing and they lost out!!!!!
He performs a number of tasks:
opens cage
shuts cage
gives 5
prays
sits cute
sits pretty
chirps
chooses hand with treat
pushes soccer ball with person (back and forth)
puts his paw on my mouth to "tell mommy ssssshhhh"
mouths when "you're in trouble"
"vicious"
dance
walk
But the most important is the love he gives us and we give in return.
I dare say my Shitzu Maltese mix is THE most amazingly perfect little dog for us. And, yes, he does have that little bit of "I not pway wifs you no moe" attitude when he gets "mad" at us.
