Silkese - Buster

Buster Buster as a puppy

Our Silkese, Buster is 10 months old. He is the smartest dog I have ever had. He has been easy to train because he wants to please so much. He "talks" to tell us what he wants. Our Maltese Silky mix has a different vocalization and action set for "out", "feed me", "time for our walk", and "play". He understands many words too. His favorite is "car".

Buster is a trim and muscular 13 lbs and is mainly a shimmery silver-cream color. When he was a puppy he was tan with a straight black over-coat. Our Silkese dog will play with anyone, any time but also likes to lie on laps. Buster has a family of senior citizens. My husband and I are 70 and the grandma is 90+. He also has 2 cats. Buster takes care of us all and loves everyone, but he is especially bonded with his mamma (me). We play ball, Frisbee, soccer ball keep-away, chase and tug-of-war. He would be a sad little dog if we went away to work all day and left him alone. He thrives on companionship. Our one problem is that he tires quickly of a kind of food and starts refusing it.
