Smart Maltichon - Betsy

You will be amazed to know that my little Maltichon Betsy understand 3 languages! Maltichons are very intelligent but all our friends are impressed that she knows 3 languages. I would tell her in Russian: Go get you leash! Betsy will go and find it.

My husband is American and he would tell her the same command in English and she will go and get the leash! But that is not all, Betsy was born in Armenia so when she was a baby we were talking to her in Armenian and I still do sometimes and if I want to have her to come and give me a kiss I would tell her that command in Armenian and she will get out from wherever she has been hiding and will come and give me a kiss/wet nose poking or leaking.

Now we are working on her German. Betsy is getting annoyed by other dogs. I am convinced that my Maltichon is quite sure that she is a human and when dogs are approaching her she just cannot stand it!

Another amazing thing she does which amuses us all is whenever I am strongly engaged in a face to face conversation with my daughter Betsy comes lays down on my lap or right next to me and slowly starts demanding an attention from me and in case if I continue ignoring her she is switching to more loud voice and pokes me with her little cute pinky noise and keeps on complaining until I put my hand on her and give her a little rub(:

She is quite a globe traveler as well! We were living in Armenia, Russia, United States LA, and then Boston MA, Rome and Milan and now she is in Zurich Switzerland!
