Curious!
by: Jessica, NM

Hi, I am wanting to get a maltipoo this summer! but I have been noticing the difference between coats, and I am curious if it just depends on the dog or not. I love your dog's coat, do you keep it that way by getting it groomed, or is it natural? I am searching for one with a more wavy and fluffy coat, not as tight and curly as some of them look. Thanks! cute dog!

There is hope!
by: Karen

Every one raves about crate training - you can find good movies online if you google it. We have a maltipoo mix with other stuff:T-leaf! She's 15 weeks now but trained quite easily once we realised she chose the places she wanted to go. We put paper in those places and also in the place WE wanted her to go and then gradually reduced them to just our choice. If we caught her sniffing we always took her to the right place. We first gave her treats just for making the paper and then only treats when she went to our chosen place for her. She always got praise when she did it right. We still have the odd accident - they say up to 6 months that can happen, but mostly she goes by choice to her designated area now. We still work with treats when we are with her but sometimes she goes and we haven't noticed- so then she comes to us for her treat! Be encouraged - they do get it eventually - just figure out what they're doing already and start from there to redirect them.

Training
by: Pam

We have two new Maltipoos.Louie is our male and Coco is our female. They are both 13 weeks and we are also in the house training phase. Not going all that well. You are right that everyone has their own way of training and we also are looking for help and advise.
