I just got one of the tiniest Malchi puppies. He was born on Nov. 30, 2008.

His name is Bambino and he loves to be rubbed on his chest. He is very playful and gets along with most people.

Little Lilly

Hi, you can expect to spend time potty training of course. You have to take her out on a regular basis and praise her when she goes. you might want to start with training pads and show her to pee there. But still taking her outside is a good idea and she will learn to go outside. Sometimes the little ones can be a bit more difficult to train because they pretend they are too danty to stay out too long. They are tough enough. Don't let her fool you. As far as sheding that really depends. If she ends up with primarily the Chi coat she will shed. If she ends up with more Maltese coat she may not. Because she is so small she will require more dental care than larger breed dogs. The small breeds notoriously require cleaning at least once a year and constant checking. They tend to loose teeth early and good dental care is very important. They are also physically delicate and you have to be aware of that. Take care around other larger dogs and be prepared to pull her away from any attack. It is best to use a jacket/shirt/dress bodywear to use instead of standard collar because you can pull them away or up into your arms without harming their delicate throats. Also it is best to minimize any contact with children under ten, and then watch them. They can be so easily injured. There is a lot of reading in cyberspace for you to check out what to expect. you can find everything including what kind of medical issues the breed faces. It's always good to know what you are getting yourself into. And above all else check out the breeder and meet both the mommie and daddy to see what their health is like. If they won't allow you to see them then don't buy from them. Also NEVER NEVER buy from a pet store or pet brooker. Without fail they purchase their (STOCK) from puppy mills and you will end up with god knows what and god knows what health issues. If you want to communicate send me an email at sinopa@comcast.net
I have been raising, fostering, placing and caring for many different breeds for many years.
