Uncommon Dog Names - Philadelphia

Some of my Maltese dogs have uncommon dog names. I loved a movie that was an HBO miniseries call "All The Rivers Run". It was set in Australia around the early 1900s. One of the main characters was named Philadelphia (Dellie), another was Brenton, their child's name was Gordon.
I named three of my Maltese after these three characters. (I now have 5 Maltese but I ran out of names from the movie, the other two are Lacy and Madison)
Uncommon Dog Names - Mr. Peabody

Mr. Peabody
Our Maltese is affectionately known also as Shriek, Swiffer, PeeWee, Mogwai, and The Peebs. It is a bit of an uncommon dog name. We settled on the name Mr. Peabody from the cartoon Rocky and Bullwinkle. Mr. Peabody was an intelligent white cartoon dog who wore poindexter glasses (heavy black rims).
Our Maltese Mr. Peabody, while sporting a hairdo much like Albert Einstein, has a set of dark intelligent eyes and needed a name that gave his diminutive stature a little extra distinction.
Uncommon Dog Names - Tevye

Tevye: Pure dignity and love!
My grandson chose this uncommon dog name the night we picked up our tiny little Maltese pup. We're Jewish, so he named him for the main character in Fiddler on the Roof. It's pronounced Tevia, we call him that or Tevy, or in the fashion of an endearment, Tevelah.
Mazel Tov means Congratulations... so his entire name is Mazel T. Tevye! He's a dear little soul and his name fits him perfectly. And he gets along extremely well with our two potbelly pigs.
