Cool Dog Names - Kennedy

I was at a local pub when a guy came into the bar wanting to give her away. A friend of mine has a Morkie so I knew what type of dog she was right off the bat. He claims a friend gave him the dog and they were not allowed to keep her. He said he was going to take it to the pond and throw her over the fence. The poor little thing was on the bar counter and inched her way over to me. She was dirty and all matted. She stole my heart with her little sad eyes.

So since the name of the pub was Kennedy Hill, Kennedy seemed to suit her and I think it is a pretty cool dog name. She is the happiest dog ever now. We have to get her groomed. We have had her for two weeks. I am scared she will loose her beautiful coloring once they shave her. Do you know it her hair will grow back the same way?

Cool Dog Names - Shotgun

Our Maltese was rescued from a puppy mill in Mississippi and brought to Texas where we adopted him. His foster family that had him for a week and named him a pretty cool dog name... Shotgun. We decided to keep it because he is fast, sneaky, and can harm you (teeth should be classified as lethal weapons).

Cool Dog Names - Teacup

My Maltese was sniffing everything when she found a big teacup. When none of us were looking, she jumped into the teacup and fell asleep! By the way, Teacup is not a teacup dog. Then my sister wanted me to pour a cup of tea. When I went to look for the teacup, I found her asleep in it! We bought another teacup and gave Teacup her teacup. Awww!

Maltese - Alexander The Great

We wanted our Maltese to have a strong sir name at 1.4lbs at 2 months old when we got him. Now being the little prince that is now only weighing in at 6 lbs, now that is 5 years...But we just call in Alex..

And now that our baby boy is all grown up and now does he live up to his name. He is smart he does many tricks by just voice and hand signals. Anything for a cookie!!

The most amazing thing though, is distinction memory when an animal comes on the tv, he can be in the other room. He will remember the sound of which commercial, which one has a dog in it and coming running, barreling around the corner not to miss it, without fail. Then flies right up in front of the tv, right up on his hind legs crazy barking at it, like it is coming right out of the tv and into the house...Such a silly boy!! Man, did we pick that name right!! Alexander The Great comes right out every time!!! We love our Maltese!!

Great Female Dog Names - Shay-la

Celtic Dog Names - Dempsey & Delaney

We choose Celtic dog names for our two Maltese mixes. Dempsey is Gaelic for "the proud one" --- Delaney is just a perfect name for a Maltichon! We wanted names that weren't "people" names and were fun to say!

Cool Dog Names - Gus

Well I didn't choose the name myself, my friends kids chose the name from Cinderella. I thought it was a cool dog name. Gus was the only boy out of the litter. I promised to never change his name so now Gus it is. He is the love of my life!!

Alpha Maltese - Bogie

Our little Alpha Maltese was born in between major hurricanes in 2004. His breeder nicknamed him Sergeant because he preferred being on his hind legs, marching as leader of the pack of other pups she had from other litters. We named him Bogie- aka Bogart after three days of trying to find his personality name- he was a complete character and "bogied" the other dogs in the house and neighborhood. A little mischief maker and "top dog."

Spanish Dog Names - Istu Cabron

Obviously hes white Like Sugar So Looked up Sugar in many dialects and languages "Istu" Suger in Shawnee.

"Cabron" is Spanish slang for "little shit" and or Dictionary meaning, male goat

this fits him well both ways
He can be a "sugar shit" (LOL) and He loves to climb like a Goat.

Great Female Dog Names - Avery

Our Avery will be 3 in Feb 2011 and when she was born, my daughters and I couldn't agree on a name for her. We were looking for great female dog names and at first we liked Ivory because she was like ivory snow and after saying Ivory a few times we all agreed she looked more like an Avery and this name fits her perfect.

Although she is a great dog she is also a very spoiled brat. But no one in our family would trade her for anything. She is very special to us.
