Zoey is a rescue dog that I was told was a Maltese Shitzu, but I believe she is a Crested Malt. She loves belly rubs, doing tricks, protecting the house and chasing after her ball. She also has separation anxiety. She is so loyal, but gets very anxious when left alone. Do you think she's a Crested Malt?

Crested Malt - Lola

Lola the Crested Malt chillaxin

Lola is an eight month old Crested Malt or Chinese Crested Maltese mix and weighs about 8lbs. She is black and white both hair and skin. Her hair is thin and if brushed upward on her torso looks almost like a mohawk.

Lola has a great disposition and temperament; she loves meeting people although can be a little nervous and skittish in new environments (she will shake and shiver if nervous). She is extremely communicative and will bark to let me know she needs something; although deciphering what it is she needs can be a little more difficult; a lot like deciphering a baby's cry.

I absolutely love her and would love to have a second Crested Malt if I could find one!!!

Maltese or Crestese?

We bred my adorable maltese baby boy with a beautiful older maltese lady. We get ultrasounds: two beautiful pups! But when they are born, they're not maltese!!!
Turns out that the black and white doggys are the work of our (slutty)cheating mommy and a Crested Powderpuff!
Should we go on Maury or what?!
LOL so I'm looking into the breed Crestese cuz we're not sure if we want to keep a dog that's not the product of our son...
It's not all the lady's fault... Our dog has only one ball! But we've heard the stories and when she was preggers on time... oh my!
What's do y'all think of Crestese vs Maltese?
We found a loving home if we decide against having him... But we're not sure!

Hope you go through a rescue! There are a few Chinsese crested rescues with mixed dogs, just google them. But hope you stay away from people who are purposely breeding these dogs though.

Crested Malt - BooBoo

Hi Ya!

BooBoo came to us about 4 years ago from a friend of the family. She told us that he was mixed from a Palamino Hairless Chinese Crested and a Maltese.

He is the most energetic, loving, crazy dog ever. BooBoo is always the center of attention wherever we may go.

Harry the Crested Malt

My dog is a Maltese Chinese Crested mix or Crested Malt. His mom was a Crested and dad a Maltese (both with papers). He is the sweetest thing ever! He weighs in at 9 1/2 lbs and is 3 years old.

His owners told me he was a mistake (a meeting in the night) but we absolutely love him and would own another. He loves big dogs but not a fan of the smaller dog. He loves my son's Rottie and cries and whines when we go to see him! He is just pure delight and we love him soooo much!

Our bit Harry passed the day after Christmas 2019 at 17 years old. He was the best boy and we miss him terribly. Since then we’ve gotten a Chinese crested yorkie mix Miss Magnolia Mae! She’s a doll! Anything mixed with a crested seems to be our pet choice.

Timber - Powderpuff Mix

Timber is a Maltese Chinese Crested Powderpuff mix he is 3 years old and he weighs 7 pounds. He is very loving and is very attached to my family especially my mom, he is very playful and friendly but protective if he does not know you. He is very protective of our family and likes to think he is the guard dog of the house. He loves to give kisses, and will do anything for a treat he is very smart and loves learning new tricks. This mixed breed of dog is so affectionate and loving.

Crested Malt Mix - Cosmo

Cosmo is a rescue that had a rough beginning. He is our first rescue and our first Crested Malt mix. He is the prefect dog. He will lay on my lap and watch sports and never asks me to change the channel. He does like companionship and ends up getting to go with us a lot because he pouts if we leave him. He goes to work at my construction company with me every day. Nobody makes fun of me because I am the boss and because he is so sweet. Best dog in the world.
