R.I.P. LEO
You barked incessantly and tortured the neighbors but we loved you with all of our hearts. You always alerted us to problems like when your brother, Bear, would decide to take a stroll outside the yard.
When we moved to this house, within a week, you and Bear were brought home from "dumpster diving," and you smelled worse than anything I had ever smelled before. You hurt your back and lost the ability go use your back legs at all. The doctor suggested we put you down and we wouldn't hear of it. Your other mother found a place to build you a doggie wheelchair and within a week you were running and wheeling around the yard.
A year after that you could walk without it. But you were never really out of pain and yet you never let it stop you from running and barking. You lost your eyesight and then your hearing and you still ran and barked. You gave us 17 years as our loyal and loving dog. Thank you, Leo. God Speed.
