Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Lil Bit

Lil Bit is a 6 month old male Maltese Chihuahua mix. He has sparse, long, white hair except for the top & back of his head which has beige strands. His body is more like a Chihuahua but his face is more Maltese.

He is super active. He likes to chase his tail. He loves his squeak toys & will bring them to me to be tossed for hours. Our Maltese Chihuahua is one of 4 household dogs & the smallest & youngest but, in his mind,he's the man of the house.He's typically not afraid of ANY other dog. He likes the outdoors, to a point, & will run in big wide circles endlessly. He is the fastest dog I've ever seen & can stop & turn on a dime.

He is very smart but that can be a problem because he is convinced he's smarter than we are. He wasn't a major problem to house break.When we first got him he was kinda off & on about mistakes & still makes them on occasion but he still, pretty much, goes outside.

We love our Maltese Chihuahua mix a great deal & are very lucky to have him. He can be protective but, in general, gets along with man & beast alike.

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Buster Keaton

Buster the Maltese Chihuahua mix is sharp as a whip and a total lovebird!!!! His best animal friend is one of our parakeets; Cooper! We love watching them interact. Cooper actually flies to the door and waits on the floor for our Maltese Chihuahua Buster to come back in when he is outside! I have never had a more loyal or loving dog in my life.

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Gizmo and Chewy

These are my Maltese Chihuahua mix babies. They are 10 weeks old now. Chewy is on the left and Gizmo is on the right. They are so full of love. They get so excited to see us when we get home every day.

They have so much energy they run and jump around all day. Then the next thing you know they are out like a light.. lol. If you think Chewy looks familiar it is because he has his picture up already. This is Gizmos time to show off (:

Mimi - Maltese Chihuahua Mix

Mimi the Malchi is currently 8 weeks old and weighs just 13 ounces. She is healthy and lively and thinks she is bigger than our Boxer.

She is an amazing little puppy and too smart for her own good! Last week she decided she didn't want to pee on her pee pad where it was located but was tired of getting in trouble for peeing on the carpet...so she pulled the pee pad over to her favorite spot to go and did her deed right then and there. She has been going there ever since!

Mimi is quickly taking over around here, she is even training our boxer to give her things her way! It is too cute!

I think she will be fairly long haired, right now she is a little fluff and has a walk that makes her think she's "all that" She has no fear of anything, and is just happy to be ours... I think!

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Daphne

My baby Daphne, a 3 year old Maltese Chihuahua mix (I like to call her a Maltihuahua) is like my shadow. She is protective and brave and would take on ANYONE or ANYTHING that she thought may be a threat to me. She is smart, but also very naughty when it comes to house training. If its raining or very chilly out...she wont want to go out for the toilet at all!

She is friendly to people and most dogs, if not at first, after a while spent with them. We had a Great Dane until very recently..and Daphne was the boss, even though she probably weighed about as much as his leg!

She is affectionate,cuddly and the perfect lapdog. No matter what position I sit in, she will find a place on me to squeeze herself in!

I love her to bits, and even a couple of close friends who have always said they don't like small dogs...adore her!

I have to give her medication everyday for seizures(she started having about 6 months ago now)which is apparently not uncommon for the small white dogs to get according to my vet.

She can be a fussy eater, but adores chicken, raw or cooked! and I trained her in only a few minutes to do pirouettes standing up on her hind legs, before she was 1 year old after seeing a dog doing it at the circus! When she wants up on the bed or couch(she likes to get lifted, even though she can plainly jump!)she makes little OoohOooh noises like a monkey! It's too cute.

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Charly

I got my Maltese Chihuahua mix Charly when he was 3 months old from a lady my friend knew and she was just giving them away. I went to her house to pick one. I spent a good 30 to 45 minutes with the puppies to really decide on personality and temperament.

His mother was Maltese and the father a Chihuahua. They were all a little shy because they hadn't been socialized well but when I finally decided I was confident. Charly was the least shy and had the cutest face! He is now 5 months old and I can't imagine not having my Maltese Chihuahua!

My Maltese Chihuahua mix is a good mom and plays alot. She can't jump that high and she weighs 10 pounds and is a small size. She likes to eat. She eats 1 a day and lets you touch her puppies, but she has to watch you she don't bite. She is a inside dog, never has she slept outside and she has two sisters and one died. She knows her mom and dad (Haunter & Blanky) my cousins own them both.

She is white more like Maltese than Chihuahua. She's very soft and lovable she lets you put your hand in her food while she eating and don't bite. Her puppies are Malchi and Yorkiehuahua are so cute!!!!!!!!! She is also bigger then her mom and dad.

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Maggie

This is my families first small breed dog. She's an 11 week old female Maltese Chihuahua mix born 2-07-2008. We have had her for about 3 weeks now.

I can't believe how much enjoyment this dog has brought us or how smart and well behaved she is. She has so far been fairly easy to train. The entire family loves this little girl.

The best thing about this female puppy is that she is great with my youngest daughter who is 5 years old, no nipping or any aggression what so ever towards my 5 year old or any of her friends. She does like to jump up on people but a quick no from even the 5 year old and the pups back down.

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Louie

My Maltese Chihuahua mix Louie is the most kind hearted and loving little boy! He is very sweet and has a wonderful temperament. He gets along great with his brother and sisters. He just adores his big sister, Molly our pug. Unfortunately, he is very distrusting of strangers and will not have anything to do with someone he doesn't know. Louie has the long white fluffy hair of the maltese, which makes him quite the handsome boy! I would recommend this a Maltese Chihuahua mix to anyone, however since they are small in stature, you may not want young children in the family.

My Maltese Chihuahua mix is lively, funny, and very self-indulgent. He goes to work with his owner every day in a nursing home and OWNS the place. Not very happy with other dogs coming into his building and tends to express this freely. Mischievous and able to let his mommy know EXACTLY what he thinks. Loves all people and does not understand why anyone wouldn't want him in their lap.

Not formally trained, but seems to understand people's wishes and acts accordingly. Great in the car, but at home, extremely stubborn about pottying. If he decides it's time, the world is his toilet. My Maltese Chihuahua possesses more human traits than dog traits, but is his mommy's best bud.

I have received my Maltese Chihuahua mix about 5 years ago when he was about 4 months old. He has a very alert personality and is very good with people at most times. There would be rare times when he would not behave well around people. He seeks a lot of attention from his us and even more from visitors who come to the house.

Although he is great with people he is not so great with other dogs, I am not sure weather he barks because he is excited or weather its because he is ready to bite which he did before, but he acts in such a manner that I am scared to get him close to other dogs although there are some bigger dogs he plays well with and his own breed.
My Maltese Chihuahua mix sheds, but its easy to manage his hair other than that he is a very friendly loving dog and I very happy to own such a dog like him. At ties he seems very humanlike in his expressions. Now Shamoo is 5 years old.

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Romeo

His name says it all! When we first got our Maltese Chihuahua mix at 5 weeks old he would nibble and lick on our ears. It was love at first sight.

He just made a year old and we have a new baby in the house(my granddaughter) I was worried that there was gonna be a jealousy problem but my Maltese Chihuahua is actually protective of her. He lets us know if she is crying if we are in another room and will stand by the door until we tend to her. The only change we have with him is now he wants me to carry him like we do the baby.

He is my little shadow. Everyone picks at me because he seems sad until I walk in the door and he is full of energy and ready to play.

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Angel Lilly

Our Maltese Chihuahua mix is a 4 year old, strong willed, very loyal dog. If she doesn't get her way, she will pee on the carpet. Everyone wants to stop and pet her, she is very gentle with people, children and strangers. Our Maltese Chihuahua does not like other dogs, especially other small dogs. After a sniff or two she settles down.

Not the friendliest towards strangers but after getting to know you he is really fun and mellow to be around, with a very kind heart. From an owners point of view he is VERY loyal. He would do anything to keep me from danger.

He's definitely a little yapper and will run his mouth whenever the door bell rings. He loves chasing ducks/cats, anything that runs. Very friendly with other animals and loves to swim. Hes pretty much a big dog stuck in a little dogs body. I love my Maltese Chihuahua mix and his pointy ears. Very smart and knows ALOT of commands. From sitting, to 'attacking'. My babyboy is smart.

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Itty Bitty

Itty Bitty is a sweetheart Maltese Chihuahua mix. She is fluffy and buff colored. Her hair just keeps getting longer and longer.

She loves to give kisses and to go Bye-Bye in the car and she has learned to sit, jump up, get down, lay down, roll over and all most learned to shake hands.

She is almost potty trained. I think that the owner has to be as dedicated as the dog on that matter. On days when I am gone for several hours at work there may be an accident before I get home. I just hate to leave her in a crate for that length of time though.

She is 8 lbs. and she has very short legs so she is only about 7 inches tall at the shoulder. When I give her a bath she looks like a Chihuahua, very skinny with a small pointy head, but when she is dry she looks like a buff colored Maltese. She is a funny little dog.

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Mooki

Mooki is 8 months old today, 01-08-2011. She is Maltese Chihuahua mix. We picked her up 2 days ago. She is very sweet, I was told she is pad trained, but that is not going well. I need to give her time to adjust to her new home. She loves to cuddle with me, and is getting protective of me as well. She will hear something outside, and growl. I took her by the vet office yesterday and she only weighs 2.75 lbs, this concerns me as she is so frail. I am hoping she will put on some weight and fill out as she gets use to her new surroundings. Mooki loves to go for a ride in the car, she did really well on our outing.

When I am sitting in my chair, she will put her paws up on it, wanting to snuggle with me. She is adorable.

Something else concerns me too, her breathe is not pleasant by no means. The previous owner said she still has 2 baby teeth in the back and that causes bad breathe. I hope that is all it is. Is there something I can do in the meantime to help keep the odor down til those teeth fall out?

This Maltese Chihuahua mix puppy is AMAZING!!! She is almost 12 weeks and we have had her since she was 6 weeks. She is Maltese with short hair black and tan Chihuahua and right now, She weighs almost 3lbs. I have 3 teen boys and a little girl and everyone in the family loves her. She has bonded with all six of us and adores attention. Our Maltese Chihuahua mix really smart, playful and silly. Also super snuggly and loveable. When she's ready to sleep she will come to one of us and "ask" up, she then will crawl up on your shoulder, tuck her little nose in your neck and go fast asleep. SO SWEET! She has never cried in her crate and sleeps all night. she Doesnt make a sound until we get up. Definately the best dog we have ever had! I am totally in love with this little baby!

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Devlin O'Kelly

We rescued our Maltese Chihuahua mix Devlin On St Patrick's Day from a large shelter. After many months or tearful moments of leaving without getting an animal we went thinking maybe we'll have the luck of the Irish... and we must have.

Devlin weighs a whole 2bls 9oz and is ABSOLUTELY a wonderful addition to our family. He's somewhat furry, loving and verrrrry spirited. He has a love for flip flops and my daughter's stuffed animals. It all may be luck, but he is SO smart. Though he hadn't been trained at all at the pound, our Maltese Chihuahua mix is doing SO well at home. He excuses himself on his puppy pads or outside. And when I tell him it's time to go "Night Night", he goes into his crate. Though he is rambunctious, as puppies should be, he is a cuddler and has made his new forever home... complete.

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Monica

She is a 7 years old and 15 lbs Maltese Chihuahua mix. She likes to run and chase the birds at the bay. She barks her head off anytime she hears noise in a different part of the house than shes in. She also barks anytime she hears voices out side or when big delivery trucks go by out side. She barks at motorcycles and people walking on the street when shes in the car.

She tries to nip at peoples ankles when they go out the front door to leave. She also likes to go after people on bikes, rollerblades or running when were at the bay. Once she gets tired of running around at the park she can careless about the people that go by on bikes, rollerblades or running. How can I get her to stop wanting to run after them? I think shes afraid because she doesn't know they won't hurt her.

Also why does she bark at noises and voices and why does she want to nip at peoples ankles when they leave the house? I didn't socialize her much when she was little and I got her when she was 1 month old.

On another note, she is very smart and fun-loving. She sits up on her butt and pumps her arms up and down when shes begging for a treat. She also will give you a kiss on the hand or chin by taping you with her nose when you tell her to give you a kiss for the treat. She knows when you're not feeling good and she stays by your side. She's a great dog.

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Aurora

I saw my Maltese Chihuahua mix at the pet shop she was sick and not in the best health (although advertised as a Japanese Chin x Chihuahua but after much research I have decided that she is definately not that and am pretty sure that she is a Maltese x Chihuahua). For just about 3 weeks all of her siblings left and she was still remaining, I use to go into the pet shop every day to see her and one day the lady asked me if i wanted to hold her (Of course I did !!)

I bought her straight away and after first being shy and reserved she has grown into a dog with an amazing personality, she is amazingly cute and very clever, she thinks she a little human, she sleeps with her head on the pillow, wants to eat what ever I am eating and do what ever I do, my Maltese Chihuahua mix sometimes has temper tantrums and gets offended and upset very easily, extremely loyal but loves attention. She definately does not like my younger nephew who teased her and she seems to have remembered that forever, all in all I don't care what breed my dog is because I love her.

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Moochi

My little Moochi is a Maltese Chihuahua mix. He is only 10 weeks old and already potty trained.

He is very playful loves to play ball and likes to sit on your lap. He will follow me wherever I go specially when walking on the park.

Funny thing is that he sleeps like a human person and cries a lot when he doesn't have any person to sleep on. He already could do sit, roll over and play dead.

Maki's mom says: You can't help but fall in love with him. He is a Chihuahua/Maltese mix; we call him a Mooooooooochi. Everywhere we go, he's mistaken for a pure breed Maltese. He's got the personality of a human. He loves to play and go to the park, and although cuddling isn't his favorite, it's guaranteed he'll be in your lap as soon as he's ready for a nap.

I don't know what I did before him, but the past 1 month has been the best watching him grow, learn, play, and love me! People always say a dog is a man's best friend, but I have found him to be a everybody's best friend!

Maltese Chihuahua Mix - Frippon

Frippon is a 14 month old Malchi or Maltese Chihuahua Mix.

He is the sweetest dog. He weights 7 pounds. He's adorable but very demanding of attention. He talks and he walks on two feet. He's now going to be the father of new Malchis. Charlotte, who is his girlfriend, is a pure Chihuahua of 5 pounds. I can't wait to see the babies in March. I will post pictures.
