Maltese Rescues - Savannah and Sidney

We love our new home! Thank you for saving us!!!!

I recently adopted two Maltese rescues who are sisters to add to my family. I rescued Kayla a spaniel/terrier mix 5 years old- December 29, 2006 and she needed a playmate. I wanted one little Maltese and looked at all the rescue websites on Petfinder.com for months.

One day a new listing for a 4 year old Maltese female with no picture popped up and I emailed for more information. It turned out to be the same organization - Buddies for Life that I rescued Kayla from- They said their are actually two sisters Savannah & Shelby ( we changes her name to Sidney)and they were just uploading the info and didn't have pictures yet. They said they would definitely get along with Kayla...they had to give them to A New Begging rescue because they didn't get along with her Jack Russell.

I literally ran to get them site unseen and I fostered them for two weeks to make sure Kayla was Happy and they were happy- and my cat was also happy.

Well they are a welcome addition to the family!

I just added a maltese rescue little boy this weekend. I went to a yard sale and a dog trainer who also did rescue got him from a client who was tired of him???? I wasn't looking for another dog but how could I leave him.. The trainer already had too many rescue dogs herself. Sparky had a history of neglect and probable abuse but has the sweetest, most trusting disposition. He is perfectly housebroken and loves his new " sisters " yorkie Lili and pekepoo Tybee. The former owner's loss is certainly our gain.

Thank you Michele-- I love my girls and they are so good... I take them everywhere with me- We just got back from S Florida and a Convention. I rented a one bedroom condo hotel for them so they would have enough room to run around. They were wonderful!!!!! I agree everyone should look to rescue for the furry new family members..

This is proof again the BEST Dogs (cats too) come from RESCUE!! If only more people did this we could save so many more. Best wishes!
