Personality

These dogs take on the temperament of both Min Pins and Maltese. They are proud, high energy little dogs.

Most Maltese Miniature Pinscher dogs are very intelligent and they want to learn, but can be headstrong. They are great dogs for agility and obedience competitions, as they learn quickly with the right training.

These dogs do well with children and other dogs as long as they have strong leadership. Most people find them to have a loyal and courageous personality.

Appearance

If you like a small, compact dog than this Maltese mix might be right for you! Since Min Pin dogs come in a variety of colors, the Maltese Min Pin can be a combo of white, brown, red, tan or black.

Hair is usually short and smooth. These dogs should be professionally groomed every 4 weeks to keep hair trimmed and clean.

Since Min Pins are average shedders, Maltipins may shed a little or not at all. There is no guarantee either way. Full grown Maltese Miniature Pinscher dogs can weigh anywhere from 6-12lbs.
