Niko

I feed my 8 months old Maltese Royal Canin puppy food. I find my Maltese to be a difficult eater so, most of the time I have to hydrate his dry food, he seem to like it better this way. He refuse to eat in his bowl, in order for him to eat I have to place a little bit of that dry food into another very small plate to get him to eat. He is now 10 pounds after being told he would be around 7 lbs, no bigger...We Love Him lots, he give us so much joy, he is a real charmer.

chewing and pulling his hair. NEW

Just wandering if anyone has an answer to a Maltese chewing and pulling the hair off his paws?? My little Niko does that and gets angry and wants to bite us when we try to stop him...we try to attract his attention to no avail...Looking for someone with a solution, I would truly appreciate.

Hi there, hope this will help someone as well, my little Niko has been chewing on his paws pulling the hair out, I was told allergies and it would help to stay away from some food he was eating, so we switched to "Acana Pork and Butternut Squash Formula", it's been a week now and he loves that food even as a treat but then again I have to hydrate the food before serving since my little Maltese prefers which is no trouble for me to do. So far his stools has been much better, softer but in a whole...This Acana Pork and Butternut Squash Formula is the second of their Limited Ingredient diets which we have tried and has been a success so far, it taste better and the aroma and texture are great for Niko which is a big plus....Hope this help someone, personally I love this line of pet food. Hope they stay in business for a very long time.

Such a cutie! I use the Urinary SO moderate calorie from Royal Canine for mine two malchis as one of my girls is prone to bad urinary tract infections when I giver her anything else it is back to the vet we go and they deliver it free to my house!
