Lhatese Puppies - Shelby

Shelby the Lhatese puppy at 3 months

Our Lhatese Shelby is intelligent, energetic, playful, strong willed, courageous, and very loving. She loves other animals and enjoys meeting people.

So far, we've noticed that she is good at learning commands, but is easily distracted (Of course, this may be due to the fact that she is very young-- 4 months). Lastly, she is a good watch dog.

Sophie and my nephew Darien

My Lhatese puppy is 9 week's old and she's just adorable!
She's playful and lovable. She's been doing quite well with the "wee-wee" pad's (just a couple of mis-hap's do far).

She follows me every where I go...just like a duck...lol I wish I could have purchased her brother as well :(

Great Information on this Site NEW
by: Bailey's Mom

I just purchased Bailey on 11/30/13. My parents had purchased a bichon/maltese mix from this breeder 2 years ago and he is a doll! I saw Bailey's picture and fell in love at first site. His breeder stated he was 14 weeks old and the last of his litter of eight! The other pups in his litter were sold at $1200 each! Bailey had been reduced to $495. He is a beautiful little dog, but I believe this pup had sold and then been returned to the breeder. He is terribly anxious and suffers from high anxiety, so teaching him to walk on a lead has been a challenge. He will start, hear a noise and jump up wanting to be picked up. I use a very calm and reassuring demeanor, tell him he is fine and encourage him to go on. I have begun picking him up and taking him away from our house in an effort to stop him from wanting to run home! He will need much socialization with people and other dogs. But he is a special little man and I adore him, so I will put forth the effort needed for him to relax and feel good about himself

POTTY TRAINING
by: CHERYL

I have a 7 yr old Lhatese-I trained him to a litter box-specifically made for dogs. First put cedar shavings in the yard-pretty good size area-kept putting him in same area-then put Feline Pine cat litter in bottom of box, raked some leaves from the yard and put on top of litter, then some cedar shavings-He used it every time. No longer use cedar-just litter under leaves-reason for litter is it absorbs odor and turns into sawdust for easy disposal. When I travel, I take 50 gal size plastic garbage bags and a bag of leaves. I cut open bag to its largest size, put some leaves on it and he does both business easily. Easy to dispose of, don't have to take him out in bad weather. So easy to do.

Tiny Lhatese Puppy - Bella

by Debbie
(Orlando, Fl)

Bella came into our life 7-14-21, thanks to our granddaughter, Makayla, she fell in love with Bella, and named her, right away. Once we adopted our tiny Lhatese puppy from Petland, we took her to the Vet Hospital, where her blood sugar dropped from the exciting day, and her Vet Carrie immediately provided her with the nutrients she needed to revive. Fortunately, we knew what was wrong with Bella when she laid down and was breathing real hard because the Manager at the Petland in Waterford Lakes informed us of small-dog hypoglycemia, and this was definitely it. Bella only weighs 2 pounds, so any energy she uses, depletes her fat; but once again, we rushed her to the vets and Bella was her happy, loving self within minutes.

Those who are looking for tiny dogs, be informed, that they are extremely delicate when they are babies, and keep a bell on them so you won't step on them in the house.

Maltese Lhasa Apso Puppy - Neutrino

by April Gibson
(Denver, Colorado, USA)

Neutrino changed my world. My Maltese Lhasa Apso puppy is so loyal and never wants to leave my side. He looks forward to his naps every afternoon and his long walks when he wakes up. He's very smart and learned some pretty cool tricks too! I couldn't imagine my life without him. Definitely mommy's little boy.

Lhatese Puppy - Finnian

by John McHugh
(Bronx, N.Y.)

Finnian is my 7 months old Lhatese puppy. Full of energy and loves to cuddle. My niece saw him three weeks after I had put down my 10 yr old Yorkie (Dora) she had leukemia. He filled the void of not having her around. I am so happy he is in my life. !!

Maltese Lhasa Apso Puppies - Macy

by Danielle

We got one of the cutest Maltese Lhasa Apso puppies Macy when she was 5 months old. We went to see dogs at the pet store and then we saw her. We asked to hold her and when the lady went to get her she didn't want to get out. We fell in love with her. We were worried about her having accidents in the house but that never happened. She's not a very jumpy dog and she rarely barks. We say everyday that she is God's gift to us, since she waited there for 5 months till we got her. Macy is now 10 months old. Our Maltese Lhasa Apso puppy is literally the best dog ever! The other day my mom had something go down the wrong hole when she was drinking something and here comes little Macy to the rescue! My mom said she started whimpering. I love Macy so much, she is so adorable and I thank God everyday for her!

Funny Puppy - Henry

by Carole RODGERS
(Doncaster UK)

Typical little boy

Typical little boy

Our Henry is 18 weeks old. His overwhelming trait is that he makes us laugh. His physical shape and facial expressions are a joy to watch. Henry has become inseparable from our 3 year old Golden Retriever Ellie. If you are looking for the perfect companion for your other dog, look no further.

Henry is such a character in many ways. He is loving and cuddly, but on his terms. He is nobody's fool and has such a determined way with him.

From the time at 8 weeks since we have had him he is so intelligent and responsive. He is great on and off his lead enjoying every minute with his pal Ellie.
