Princess Chloe... at 11wks

I have a Princess who is 12 wks old and she is one of the most precious Morkie puppies!! I have had her 4 wks and already she is sooo spoiled.

Her mom was a Yorkie and dad was a Maltese She is a gorgeous color w/ only a small amount of black in her tail. She is 12 wks now and weighs 3.7lbs.

She is very energetic and is quite the Diva. People stop me everywhere we go and fall in love... I love my Chloe!

Adding another puppy with your morkie NEW
by: Anonymous

We have a 10 yr old bichon that naps most of the time. We decided to find a puppy 8 months ago so we bought a shorkie. The older dog tolerates her but still naps. We purchesed our shorkie an 8 week old red sable morkie puppy last Saturday and it was instant love!!! They leave the bichon alone and play and nap together all the time. It was definately the best decission we could've made. Hope this helps your decission!

She's absolutely beautiful! I love her! That little face just sucks a person right up! What some beaufiful coloring she has. I have a Morkie Yorkie - Scooby-Doo. He is an absolute JOY! We are actually thinking about getting him a brother or sister. Not only because I love Morkie Yorkies but because I think he could use a companion. My husband and I both work full time and I do alot of driving for my job so I am fortunate enough to bring him along 1 or 2 days a week - just so he's not alone all day. Other days, I try to come home for lunch and take him out for a walk and just give him some attention for awhile. I'm trying to find some information on how Morkies accept new comers (puppies) into the house. If you have any insight into this, I would be very appreciative if you could share. Thanks so much for sharing Chloes picture!

Morkie Puppies - Sophia

by Barbara
(Duluth Minnesota)

Sophia in her new Christmas dress

Sophia in her new Christmas dress

We just got one of the cutest Morkie puppies Sophia, "Sophie" for short 4 days ago, and she already seems to have made the adjustment to her new home. Of course we baby her, she is only 12 weeks old and was the runt of her litter, but we hardly hear her cry, only time is when she wants to come out of her crate. I discovered that she does like to just sleep with me, and she will sneeze on me and nudge me when its time for her to get up. I take her right to her potty pad and after a few times of putting her back on it, she does her business. She has only had a handful of accidents, I am very impressed.

Sophia has learned 'no' and will look up at me when I say it, put her tail down and just seems to know 'no = no, don't do that'. Our Morkie puppy is very affectionate and wiggles her tail and runs to everyone as they come in the door with every ounce of her body, its so cute. When she is playful, she runs in circles and grabs at her potty papers, or anything she can tug around, its pretty hysterical being the potty papers are about 4 times her size!

One concern I do have is in introducing our Morkie to my very dominant female German Shepherd. Her name is Isabelle, she is great with our cats, but that process was slow and careful too. We have kept them separate so far, Isabelle has sniffed at Sophie while I hold her and come into the room we have most of Sophie's stuff in and sniffed around, but she is so big compared to Sophie and as I stated is very dominate to any of the other dogs. Sophie's breeder said to introduce them little by little over several weeks, also even after, to not leave them unattended. Which won't be an issue as Sophie will come everywhere with me or be safely in her crate in her own room. Any advice on this?

advice NEW
by: Anonymous

Our Morkie puppy named "Sadie" just turned 1 last week. We also have an older beagle, who is getting tempramental. At first, they liked to play together, but then when the beagle realized that that the Morkie was "here to stay", she was less accepting... after a year, we have no concerns anymore, but we had to be so very careful when they were together... especially when food was involved.

MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THEM SEPERATE FOR EATING!! Our older dog bullied the younger, much smaller dog and took her food. And a couple times it was VERY aggressive... so just keep them seperate for eating, and give them each their own "me time" with you... they need your individual attention to feel important.

Morkies are the greatest!! Good Luck!!

Maggie NEW
by: Anonymous

I have a Morkie, named Maggie, which was my Christmas present from my kids two years ago. She was 8 weeks old when I got her, and she weighed
1-1/2 lbs. Scared me to death, afraid I'd step on her. The hypoglycemia mentioned previously was something I was warned about by my vet. Because she was so small, if she didn't eat enough, she could have an attack. Sure as heck, she did on some days have an eating problem. Just didn't seem interested in anything besides sitting in our laps. Keep a jar of baby food handy for those days, and try feeding her from a spoon...if she's not interested then, wet your finger and dip it in sugar...she will definitely lick that...same treatment for a human who has low blood sugar. I can't imagine life without my Maggie now...she is a real person, and I can read her mind!! Shie now weighs four pounds, and is full grown...Best little leg warmer ever!!!

Morkie Puppies - Bella

by Karly
(Cleveland, Ohio, USA)

Beautiful Bella

Beautiful Bella

Bella is one of the cutest, funniest Morkie puppies I have ever met!!! She is 12 weeks old and full of spunk! She can be a cuddly little love bug at one moment and then be running around the house stealing the kids toys at another moment!

She's still biting so she drives my kids crazy, won't even let them sit on the floor! She likes to steal my daughters toys and then she runs around the house 100 miles an hour so you can't catch her. She's still in puppy mode so her only real cuddle time without biting is when she is tired.

She is sooo... cute you can't help but want to stare at her. She gets along good with her older sister Boxer Tyson. She bites Tyson and Tyson lets her!

The reason behind getting a Morkie was that I love the Maltese personality and the Yorkie coloring. Bella's dad was a Yorkie and her mom a Maltese so she got that soft fluffy hair which I love! She is a great addition to our family and we are so happy she is here!

Bella of the Ball!
by: LuLu and LoLLy!

You're the Bella of the Ball! Bella we are 2 Maltese dogs and this was too much fun to read about! What a cute picture as well. Also Cindy and Clover, in terms of house training, patience and rewards are the key. We never like to go outside when its wet -- all that wet grass is awfully tickly on the stomach! But we finally get around to it. :) Clover just tell your human, Cindy, that the key is positive praise and rewards. Give lots of enthusiastic praise -- in a high voice (we know the high voice means good!) -- and then a little bite of your favorite treat. Pretty soon Clover will be begging to go outside for the rewards! We have a website where we give advice from a dog's point of view and we do have an article about house training your puppy. It might be helpful, it's at http://www.luluandlolly.com under "puppy pointers." Just keep it up with the love, love, love and praise! Dogs live in the moment so we don't understand what you're upset about if it is after the fact. And if you catch Clover going in the house, grab her and race outside as fast as possible. She'll get the idea! Love, Your PaLs, LuLu and LoLLy!

Morkie Puppies - Cricket and Bailey

by Barbara
(Charlottesville, VA)

Cricket and Bailey the Morkie puppies

Cricket and Bailey the Morkie puppies

Cricket and Bailey's mom is a Yorkie and their dad is a Maltese. They were the product of an accidental breeding between a champion Yorkie and Maltese.

Cricket looks like his Yorkie mom and Bailey looks like his Maltese mom. Cricket is a "jumper" - loves to jump up and down on the sofa, and Bailey is the quiet one and rather timid. Cricket is 6 pounds and Bailey is 7 pounds. Bailey's hair is like cotton and Cricket's is very soft and silky.

They are both very good watch dogs and love playing with their sister Angel, who is also a Yorkie Maltese mix and 4 years old.

size and color of your puppy
by: Bailey and Cricket's Mom

I would guess your puppy will be no more than 8 lbs full grown, maybe closer to 7. As far as coat color change, Cricket and Bailey stayed pretty much the same color as they were when they were born (Cricket the yorkie color, and Bailey the maltese color), but my little ANGEL, who is 5 now, started out cream with dark patches, which then turned to mostly very light cream, almost white, with tiny bits of cream streaks that are hardly visible now. She also went through her "ugly duckling" stage at around 4-5 mos. where she had big patches of light brown here and there. So it's hard to tell what color they will be unless they actually start out dark like the yorkies. Whatever color yours will be, I'm sure it will be beautiful!

Hi,
I have a Morkie, his name is Rupert and he's 18 weeks old (4.5 months) and he weighs 6 lbs now. Have you got any idea how big he may get when full grown? I was told he may be between 6 and 9 lbs.
Also, when does the coat color stop changing? When we got Rupert he was mostly brindle and now he's got orange on his ears and down the middle of his back with more white on his face. I love the coloring of Cricket!
Thanks,
Joanna

Start your puppy on ANGEL EYES and you won't have any problem with staining. These little guys eyes will tear and if you don't stay on top of it, it will cause staining, but Angel Eyes does work! You can do a search on the computer and read all about it.

How to get rid of tear stains
by: Bailey and Cricket's Mom

I've been asked if I have trouble with tear stains and if so, how do I keep Bailey's face so white. Answer - YES - his face was HORRIBLE at one time - I mean, he looked like a racoon - actually worse! I tried distilled water, over-the-counter products, you name it. I finally heard about Angel Eyes and gave it a try. It is an all natural powder that you sprinkle in their food, and reduce the dosage over time (directions on bottle). I thought, yeah, yeah, yeah, just another gimmick. Well, I was shocked! After a few weeks, the staining was totally GONE! What happens is the new hair that grows in is white (you can never get rid of the old stain, but you gradually snip that off as the new hair grows in). The new hair will be totally white - no staining!! This is the only product I've used that actually works. I started off buying the smallest bottle (about $20 at pet stores) and before I even put a dent in the bottle, the stain was gone. I have since saved money by ordering the largest bottle over the internet at half the price (well worth it)! If anyone is interested in knowing the website, please email me at k9bather@embarqmail.com and I will give it to you. I'm not sure this site allows posting other websites.

Morkie Puppies - Jenkins

by Felicia Santone
(Pennsylvania, USA)

Utilizing the

Utilizing the "sit" command that he learned so quickly to get an adorable shot.

Jenkins is one of our Morkie puppies that is just over eight weeks old. The first day we brought him home, he was alert, cuddly, and mellow. He wagged his tail constantly and instantly bonded with our Boxer. He torments the cat but she is warming up to him gradually. The first thing we did when we brought him home were brush him, bathe him with tearless puppy shampoo, blow dry him (he wagged his tail constantly after the initial startle of the noise) and brush him again. His nails needed to be trimmed and his toe hairs trimmed but I didn't want to overwhelm him so I let that go for a couple days.

He is the smartest pet I have owned, and I've owned many. He comes and looks at you when you call his name after two days in our home. I taught him to sit yesterday in only eight minutes (he does it consistently, even without treat; it was not a one time fluke). Every day he seems more energetic and his personality shows even more. He enjoys cat toys more than dog toys because of their size and jingly bells inside of balls. His other favorite toys are anything soft and stuffed. Anything you move across the ground, he chases. I'm guessing this is his terrier side. He only barks in play and only at certain toys and our dog. He tries to bully the older dog, but she just pins him to the ground with her big paws and ignores him as he tries to break free. One minute he is running crazily and chewing on Aurora, the Boxer's, jowls and the next minute he's collapsed on his side sleeping like a rock, cuddled up to Aurora.

Because we got Morkie puppy in Winter, we bought him a coat and sweater. He loves the sweater, but his legs don't go through the coat's sleeves so he topples over. We don't use the coat yet. He is just about housebroken after these few short days. He still has pee accidents in the house every so often, but he has constant access to water. He is being crate trained and has had no accidents in his crate. He goes outside every time to poop.

He loves my sisters (ages 11 and 13) as well as my 2 year old nephew. We have to watch him extra carefully around my nephew because he follows him everywhere and would get stepped on otherwise. My mother has wanted a small breed dog, either a Maltese or Yorkie, for some time now and she finally has him. She expected something more mellow I think, but Jenkins is filled with boundless Yorkie energy! Until he drops to the floor for a nap, he runs all over the house, jumps into our laps if we're on the floor, brings us toys, spins all over the floor, chases the cat, annoys the dog, and tries to chew everything in sight. She is totally in love with him though.

Our Morkie is fun to watch, loves to be cuddled and played with constantly, he listens (for a little while) when we clap our hands and say no, and he learns so fast. He is not at all what I expected, but I wouldn't trade him for anything. He is the best little puppy ever.

Morkie Puppies - Alexander

(Amarillo, TX)

 Alexander (the great!)

Alexander (the great!)

Alex the Morkie puppy is quite the little character!

He plays with the cats (who are both at least 3 times bigger than he is), and runs the house, and has the best personality! He does this cute little thing with his tongue where he has it out (like a person does when they are hard at a task or thinking).

He's just over a pound and you'd think he was a wolf the way he carries on. =)

More About Alexander
by: Vanessa

Alex is growing fast...about a whole 3 pounds (maybe). I found him online, from a local breeder who can be reached at www.mypuppyplayground.com. He's learned how to walk on a leash and you would never beleive all the attention he gets when we go out every evening to walk! Everyone that sees him has to stop us and ask about him. He has this "air" about him that commands attention. He struts when he walks, knowing how absolutely adorable such a little ball of fur is! He loves to wear sweaters, shirts, and jackets when he goes out for his walk and when he's hanging out at home. He gets cold quickly if he's "nekkid." A special thank you to all those that keep leaving comments. =)

Morkie Puppies - Bailey

by Erica Sutherland
(Wisconsin)

Beautiful Bailey Morkie

Beautiful Bailey Morkie

Oh where do I start. My Morkie puppy is 3 months old and about 3 1/2 pounds... oh yeah, and a little ball of fire!

I have a Yorkie, and my friend has a Maltese... I love the personalities of both dogs so I bought Bailey. I can definitely see the traits of both dogs in her. She likes to be held just like a baby, I love that. She is very smart like a Yorkie, I taught her to sit and stay for a treat until I say ok in 1 day. On the other hand she is kinda clumsy like a Maltese.

She is a very lovable dog and loves to give kisses. She also has a very bad case of separation anxiety. If I leave the house for more than an hour, I have to pick her up and hold her for about 10 minutes until she stops crying.

She really enjoys batting her ball around the kitchen floor like a cat... hilarious. If she hears a noise, she starts whining and runs and sits on my lap, then she starts barking... she's a tough girl!! I couldn't and wouldn't trade my Morkie puppy for the world!!

She is simply adorable, can you tell me where she was purchased? I am looking for a Morkie and was told those with Maltese father look the best. Was Bailey's father the Maltese or Yorkie?

Thanks for any info.

Too cute! :)
by: Andrea

I LOVE Bailey's color and the name...adorable! My fiance and I just recently got a baby sister for our Cocker Spaniel, Isabella. We got our Morkie puppy, Mindy, (I'm only 23 but those re-runs were definitely one of my favorite shows. I thought it was pretty clever for those of you that remember the show.) We've had our little Mindy for a little over two months now and she'll be five months old on the 28th. She's at 5 1/2 pounds right now but probably won't get much bigger seeing as how her mother weighed five pounds and her father only eight! Like someone mentioned earlier, I can definitely see the traits and personalities of both breeds in her. She's always so full of spunk yet not so full of energy that you can't ever get her to sit still. She's very smart; she learned to si
t, lie down, and fetch after only a week at barely two months old! She is fairly clumsy sometimes; I had never heard that before but it definitely describes our new baby. Haha Congratulations on your Morkie baby! I know you'll enjoy them as much as we do! :)

Bailey cute picture and VERY informative posting!
by: Lulu and LoLLy!

Dear Bailey, Hi! We are 2 Maltese dogs named LuLu and LoLLy, and boy is it a good thing we found you!

First let us say, 2 Paws Up! for how cute this pikture is.

Also, we did not realize that Maltese dogs were considered clumsy, but this may explain somethings, like how we aksidentally set the kitchen on fire when we tried to make omelets the other day.

Finally, Bailey, it does seem that your human is slightly confused, thinking you are a ball of fire, when you are aktually a dog.

We have helped many dogs with similar problems with their humans (like our friend Elmo, whose human sez he's gotta be part rabbit. No, Elmo is a dog!) If you would like to discuss these problems with us dog to dog, please come visit us at the LuLu and LoLLy Dog Blog at http://www.luluandlolly.com. We think you would fit right in!

Love, Your PaLs, LuLu and LoLLy, Maltese dogs!

Black and White Morkie Puppies - Maggie

by Trish K.

Maggie is 5-1/2 months old and weighs about 8lbs. She is one of the cutest Morkie puppies with black and white markings on her chin, chest and paws.

Maggie was a Christmas gift from my husband and was totally unexpected! I fell in love with her the second I laid eyes on her! My Morkie dog is the most loving, playful dog I have ever been around! She loves to play with her stuffed toys (tweety & teddy bear) and play fetch with her baseball.

She loves her clothes & hair bows. She has accumulated quite a wardrobe. She goes to work with me everyday and thinks she runs the office. She recently completed basic training where her teacher nicknamed her "Maggie the social butterfly."

I simply cannot imagine life without her!

Layla is one of the most adorable 5 month old Morkie puppies who loves to play. She weighs about 5 1/2 lbs now and is sooo full of energy.

She loves to get your attention and play tug of war or just sit on your lap, that is after she has licked your face thoroughly. My Morkie puppy is always happy and greets you with love and kisses whenever you come in the door, even if you just went out and came back in.

She is our youngest of 5, 3 kids and 2 four-legged kids. Layla's brother Skooter is a 5 1/2 yr old Yorkie who weighs 4lbs. We love them to pieces.

Oh Izzie, this pikture is just 2 much! We are 2 Maltese dogs, and when we saw this we had to stop and say "Two Paws way UP!!" for you.

However, we are somewhat concerned that your human may be thinking you are a bunny. This happened to another friend of ours, whose human thought he was party rabbit, becuz of a lot of springing around.

Tell your human to stop by our Dog Blog if she would like and read about Elmo. It will probably help her stop thinking you are a bunny -- since you are a DOG! :)

Morkie Puppies - Mork and Mindy

by Sue Nott
(Westminster, CA USA)

My Morkie puppies came to live with me and my Yorkshire Terrier 2 months ago.

Mork is really a Dork. Really funny the class clown. Mindy was really shy at first. Doing much better now as she is getting older and getting out to the beach more.

Potty training with my Morkies was finished in about a month. Constant reminders every hour. They both slept through the night right away. First thing in the morning it was off to the yard in my arms. No stopping on the way. It has been almost two months and we have no more accidents in the house.
Very smart quick to learn, what I want of them. Barking is still an issue. We will continue to work on that. Love them both great little dogs.

The hair grows faster than on my Yorkie. Both got bigger than my Yorkie. Mork is 3 pounds bigger than Mindy.

Pookie sleeping on her bear

My Morkie puppy is almost five months old now. I couldn't be happier I got this dog. I have held out on buying a dog because I wanted it to be the perfect fit. I read about Morkie puppies and that same day, I bought one.

She is the sweetest thing in the whole world. Friendly, loving, cuddler, playful and easy to take care of. I couldn't believe how from day one I knew this dog was perfect for me. I live in an apartment and she loves it because of her size. I don't take her outside to use the bathroom just potty mats which she uses, most of the time. Potty training is hard but shes getting there.

I haven't done obedience with her yet but she has learned to play fetch and sit already. They are so smart! I would recommend this breed to anyone and everyone that meets my dog just loves her, she's a showstopper.

Morkie Puppies - Jazmine (Jaz) Jolie

My girl at 6 weeks old

My girl at 6 weeks old

My Morkie puppy is now 4 months old and had a wonderful personality. I owned a Maltese for 10 years. She was my precious girl. She passed away in November and I was very lonely. I didn't have the heart to get another Maltese because I couldn't look at her every day without thinking about Jolie.

I was lonesome for a new friend and began looking for a similar breed (small, no shedding, loves kids, etc). I talked to a breeder who gave me website to look at her puppies available. I fell in love with my Morkie Jazmine. I see more of a Yorkie personality (my neighbor has one), but sweet, loving and smart!! She loves other animals, kids, adults - you name it. She is such a tomboy even though she looks prissy. She is now about 4 lbs.

I would love to hear from other Morkie puppies parents and share pics. I am curious to see what she will look like when she is grown.

morkie puppy Jazmine NEW
by: Anonymous

We have a 10 yr old bichon, Sadie that has slowed down tremendously. All she does is nap. We decided to bring a beautiful shorkie puppy, Sophie to see if it would lift her spirits, to no avail. The shorkie seemed lonely away from her litter mates. After seeing this for several months we decided to bring in a playmate for her. We purchased 8 wk old morkie, Chloe last weekend and when we brought her home it was love at first sight! The 2 pups romp and wrestle the nap side by side. Sadie is free to nap without being bothered. It was the best decission we ever made other than buying the 1st two. Hope you have continued success with your little one and don't hesitate bringing a little frind in the fold...Good luck!

Your Morkie is certainly original in her coloring. What a cute dog!!

My Morkie, Little Miss Muffit, is 5 1/2 mos. old. We got her at 8 1/2 wks. She has been a great addition. I love her dearly and so does my husband, our German Shorthair and our 25 lb. cat!! She is very intelligent and has trained easily. We box-trained her since it was winter. She goes in a box with newspaper and never misses. Sure made potty-training easy and convenient. Muffit is gold and white, very pretty. She weighs at least 6 1/2 lbs. now. She has ears that can't decide if they are supposed to be up like a Yorkie or lopped over like a Maltese. Somedays one is up and one is down! I think Morkies are perfect little pets! I know you will be glad you have one. Muffit's picture is on this site.

Morkie Puppies - Willow

by Becky Saxe
(New Paltz, NY, USA)

Willow

Willow

Our Morkie puppy is now 15 weeks old and has blended with our family very well so far. He comes from champion lines, with a Yorkie father and a Maltese momma. He is mostly laid back during the day, but has his very hilarious hyper moments in the evening. He will run around the house as fast as he can, trying to release some energy - of which he has a great deal.

He already knows how to sit and stay, and he has crate trained perfectly so far. He is nosy and likes to know what we're doing. He enjoys snuggling with us and does well when he's left alone for a few hours. Willow has a wonderful prance when he has something in his mouth that he's not supposed to have. It's like he knows he's getting away with something and is happy about it! He's great with my kids (ages 3 and 9). Just this morning, one of the kids was crying, and our Morkie puppy went over and sat in their lap as if to provide comfort.

He is still teething, so like most puppies, he likes to chew on things and is still learning what things are appropriate to chew on. Right now, he's 3.5 pounds - and will possibly get to be somewhere between 5-8 pounds when he's full grown. Time will tell!

I lost a maltese in November of last year and did not have the heart to purchase another maltese because Jolie was the love of my life. I was lonely and wanted a similar breed and a breeder told me about her morkies. I found Jazmine thru her website and fell in love right then and there. She has been a part of our family now since December 23rd. She has a lot of energy too. We have a large yard and she loves the leaves. She wants to play with my older cat but he is not interested. She loves everyone! Can't wait to see what she will look like when she grows up.

Morkie Puppies - Pixie May

by Patricia
(Somerset NJ USA)

Pixie May

Pixie May

Pixie May is one of the best 5 month old Morkie puppies. I've had her for a month now. She is energetic, but to the point where it is very controlled. She is a bundle of joy and loves to snuggle. Does not like to kiss, but will bump you with her nose. Hates to get her hair brushed or clipped so this will be a great task for me.

She is a good eater and is trained well on her leash and is housebroken. My Morkie puppy is very short so stairs are hard for her, but she manages. She will weigh in at a total of 7 lbs when she is full grown. She may look innocent, but watch your shoes... and tissues... Love her.

Funny, she will not look me in the face either, just from a side glance and if you stare at her she will cry... As soon as she sees scissors she is gone! so I have to trick her or get her when she is totally worn out after playing. She had her tail snubbed off, which really upsets me. I don't believe it that, but it happened just after she was born. She got her rabies shot this weekend and screamed loud, I felt so terrible. I don't believe in rabie shots either but have no choice in that one. send a pict or belle... she weighed in at 7lbs this weekend and doc said that she wouldn't go much past that. She can go up stairs but cannot come down so I had to put baby gates up so I wasn't constantly going to retreive her from upstairs. she is quick little girl. as you can see from picts she has a lot of yorkie in her but he maltese is now coming out. lots of white on her face now and mixed in her coat on her back. that pict is from the day i got her on 5/21/10. I lost my lhasa bichon "Daisy" in the beginning of may after 16 years 8 months and I couldn't bear the emptyiness I was experiencing so I had to get a new pup, not to replace Daisy but to help me heal.

Pixie
by: Susan

Your little Pixie is so cute. My little Belle is also a Morkie and she is black and white. She is 19 months old now and comes in at 7 pounds, my husband thinks she is still too small, he has to watch every step as she is so quick under foot. We have learned to do the small dog shuffle. Belle also will not give kisses, she will lick your face and neck all over but no kisses. She does not like to look you in the face for some reason. If I'm talking to her about something that she is interested in, like treats, then she will or if I tell her "watch mommy" she will. Belle also does not like grooming. I have taken her to the groomer 2 times and both were a disaster, on the groomers part. She kicked Belle's back leg with a trimmer the first time, what was she doing with a trimmer on her leg. The second time she trimmed her just about opposite of what I wanted. I even took a picture in. Belle's ears are long haired like the maltese with the pretty fringe, she cut that off, I said don't trim the tail as it's white and fluffy, she shaved her tail. I was so mad I could even talk, and she did not get paid. Now I groom Belle which is quite a battle some times. She gets mats especially when she wears her little sweaters or tops. I bought a wooden brush with wooden bristles as the have an oil in them that helps glide through tangles. It does help but it's tricky to hold her still. I just scissor cut and she is scared to death of the trimmer. Must be something about Morkies that don't like grooming. I found a little groomers table in Pet Edge catalog that sits on the table and has the tie and everything for like $35.00 my husband is getting it for me but I don't have high hopes. Let me know if you find a way to get Pixie to enjoy (or at least allow) grooming. Enjoy her, they are so fun and loveable.

Morkie Puppies - Shiloh

This is Shiloh, one of the best Morkie puppies ever. She's about 10 weeks in this picture. She's a bundle of energy and pure joy! We loved her from the first day we laid eyes on her!

The one thing that we've noticed so far with her that stands out is that she has such a gentle, and sweet personality. Our Morkie puppies been around A LOT of people in her short life and seems to just take it all in stride. She loves everyone!

She DOESN'T like baths... or car rides but she is getting better at both of them as we slowly expose her to both of them.

We've only heard her bark a couple times. We were told that her parents are not barkers and we are hoping that she'll be the same.

Potty training is another story! Very slow-going! Which seems to be consistent with what we've read about Morkies. She is paper trained and she will go outside, but basically my husband and I are the ones trained as she's not even big enough to take the stairs leading out to the backyard. :(

I'd recommend a Morkie to anyone but please do not buy from a breeder!! Puppy Mills MUST be stopped!!!!

So I put her in the dog stroller and about 5 houses away I take her out and she then walks home. I hope if the Lord ever takes her away from me to have another just like her. We also have a 14 year old maltese who is a barker. Molly doesn't bark except if someone knocks on the door. The maltese taught her that. lol Enjoy your beautiful puppy. They are gorgeous!!

My Morkie dog Jazz-min and my Morkie Jupiter had a litter of 5 Morkie puppies on 5/24/10. 4 boys and 1 girl, all different colors. One Black and Gold, One Gold, One White, One chocolate brown and finally one Grayish Blue with white.

Has anyone ever seen a Morkie this color before? He is such a doll! He was the biggest one in the litter and the last to be born!

Jedi will be given to my brother and sister in law for my niece and nephew as their first pet :)

Morkie Puppies - Billy

by Morkie lover

Billy the day we got him

Billy the day we got him

I would recommend Morkie puppies to anyone looking for a companion. We got our baby Morkie in September 2009 when he was very little. He's just the funniest character and he's so energetic but at about nine o'clock every night he gets into bed himself and falls asleep.

It took us a good while to toilet train Billy but now he knows to go out the back.He is like the silent dog he never makes a sound(well only when he has to go toilet)but when he barks it not a woof sound its more like a sneeze.

When he wakes up in the morning and its cold in the kitchen he goes over to the electric fire and sit there for us to turn it on.

He's the greatest dog and I would highly recommend a Morkie as a companion dog.

Morkie Puppies - Bentley

by Darius Avery
(Brooklyn)

Bentley is one of the most active Morkie puppies. He loves to play with the cat. Very suspicious.

Bentley has a bold personality for his size, and is very popular amongst the neighborhood. Everyone loves our Morkie puppy.

Morkie Puppies - Killer

Which is the stuffed animal?

Which is the stuffed animal?

This little boy is so adorable and full of mischief. My Morkie puppy is 5 months old and weighs 5 pounds. (Wondering how big he will be.)

He puts everything into his mouth that he isn't supposed to. He greets you at the door full of excitement and gives you many kisses, while his little ears lie flat on his head. He follows me around everywhere I go.

People on the street will stop to comment and ask what kind of dog he is. I was once told by a woman that she thought he was a child's toy while I was carrying him. :)

We are crate training. He does so good during the night. During the day is a different story. How can you stay mad at such an adorable little face?

UPDATE: I am now 9 months old. See what I look like now!

Good Choice
by: Loretta

You certainly have a sweet little guy. When you speak of weight it is really a guess. I have a female morkie named Misty Rose and her Mom was 5 1/2 lbs and Daddy was 3 lbs and Misty just turned 5 months and she weighs 6.9. I was really surprised for I thought she would be small. My vet told me that you never can tell, some can be small, some larger. What ever, we love Misty just the same. I just wished she would settle down for she is a wild one, but is loving when she first wakes up. She sleeps in a playpen and has never complained or wet even tho she never gets up in the middle of the night. You have made a great choice and a perfect companion.

Killer?
by: Anonymous

That adorable little baby has the name of Killer? Oh, he is so precious he needs a better name! I can't tell if he is black or brown. I can see why the lady thought he was a stuffed toy. He is a doll.
