Morkie Puppy - Prince Escobar

Prince's Raincoat

Prince's Raincoat

I have a Morkie puppy that is now 4 months old, he is the sweetest little doggie that one could ask for. He and his brother were the only 2 survivors of the litter and they see each other regularly and absolutely adore one another.

Prince is now 5.5lbs and he will be 5 months on 8/29/2008, his brother is named Onyx and he is a whopping 8.3lbs and by the way their colors are completely different. Onyx looks very much like the Morkie on the pic above with the black and brown, Prince on the other hand is tan and white, it seems that he will be turning completely white once his hair grows out.

I've submitted an previous entry about my boy, but I wanted to include an updated pic. This is a raincoat I found for Prince, since acts as if he will melt in the rain like a pit of sugar.... he took to it pretty well. Enjoy!

Morkie Puppy - Graciela aka Graci

by Debbi
(Morton, IL)

Graci is a leap year Morkie puppy baby born on 02/29/08. She weighs 6# & is the light in her daddy & mommy's eyes! Graci loves to play with Bella, her Cocker Spaniel cousin, that's 2 1/2 years old. She sneaks up on Bella, jumping on her, and then pulling her ears!

Graci is doing very well with her potty training. She goes to the front door & keeps looking at us til we notice.

Graci has such a sweet demeanor, when we talk to her, she cocks her little head & looks us right in the eye.

Her daddy didn't want a dog but now says he doesn't know what he'd do without her. She's the spice in our life!

Smart Morkie Puppy - Teddy

by Angelica
(Aurora, Colorado)

Our Morkie puppy is only 3 months old. And he is so small, cute, precious and so smart. He's so easy to train. He is a quick puppy learner. His name is Teddy because he looks like a cute stuffed animal teddy bear, but wayyy... cuter.

Lot's of other people and resources on the internet and books say that Morkies are although intelligent, but can be hard to potty-train. But no way! Our puppy learned tricks and potty training in only a couple of days!

Our puppy loves other people but mostly only our family and loves to be carried by our family. Also, he loves to sleep, and play with his toys. Also play with us and games. We all love our new puppy!!!:) As you can see he is the best Morkie and the smartest ever in the world!

Everyone says that he is so smart, intelligent, quick learner, cute, small, playful and just so many other nice sayings. Even though other people think their dogs are the best. I and we think that he is the only and best Morkie ever!!! You would even say that when you would see him. I LOVE HIM!!! WE LOVE HIM!!! (:

Morkie Puppy - Mindy

by Ed
(Tubridy)

Mindy the Morkie (Nanoo Nanoo)

Mindy the Morkie (Nanoo Nanoo)

Mindy was born 11/12/08. Our Morkie puppy is a wonderful addition to our pack! I was immediately attracted to her when we met to the breeder because of her outgoing personality compared to the other Morkies we met.

She joined the pack including a 90 lb., 7 year old female Dobie Annie and a 30 lb., 5 year old Tibetan Terrier Sam. She immediately tried asserting her dominance. The Dobie warmed up to her first and Mindy has learned well how to get out of Annie?s way. It took a bit longer for Sam (typical aloof Tibetan) - but they are all now best of friends and just love to play with each other. In fact, both the other dogs have livened up a bit since she joined the pack, especially the Tibetan.

Mindy is much more focused on my wife and myself than the other dogs and is constantly looking for attention from us. She loves to "clean our clocks" by licking our mouth and nose. She often gets very hyper, running around making what we call her "barking bumblebee" noise. She's either "on" or "off" although she is starting (hopefully) to mellow a bit.

She's about 6 months old now and weighs a bit over 10 lb. perhaps big for the breed. As I've read, she seems to be more of a Yorkie than a Maltese. On the downside, she's the most destructive dog I've owned, she has managed to ruin several rugs now, chewed a little bit on the woodwork and loves to chew off my shoe laces. She has proven to be very hard to housebreak (even worse than Sam and Tibetans are known to be difficult) but that's mostly our fault since we never really crate trained her. She has a very, very loud piercing "squeak" which she uses when she wants attention, etc. that can be incredibly annoying.

Given all this though, her wonderful, quirky personality has kept us joyfully laughing since we have had her.

Cute critter
by: Anonymous

Our Malta-poo Zoey is 10 months old and weighs about 6 pounds. Like your pup she can be quite hyper AND destructive...she's stripped off the wallpaper in two rooms, scratched and gnawed the woodwork, dug up the wall to wall carpeting in front of the door at my Mom's house...but she is as cute as a button and totally housebroken from day 1...(we use a litter box, so she can go when she wants.) Unlike your pup, she's usually silent...almost never barks. She holds her own with our 85 pound Malamute rescue and our 13 year-old Golden, as well as our fearless
female tiger cat. She easily keeps pace with the Malamute on long hikes...she has boundless energy, but then can suddenly crash sleeping
contentedly in the chair while we're on the computer...like your pup she has uncanny ability
to get her tongue in your mouth...we try to give
her more exercise to see if that will slow her down a bit. She has all manner of interactive toys, but she prefers to harass poor Holly, the
golden retriever; climbing on her back, chewing her ears, stealing her toys. She sleeps at the
foot of our bed at night on her back with her 4 little paws up in the air. She loves everyone.

Morkie Puppy - Bailey

Sweet little Bailey girl at 10 weeks

Sweet little Bailey girl at 10 weeks

Bailey is our three month old Morkie puppy. We got her when she was eight weeks old and fell in love with her the moment she was put into our hands. She lights up our days with her loving and playful personality. She's almost completely potty trained now. She is changing in her coloring with light cream color hair growing out on her face.

People always ask us about our Morkie puppy because she is so friendly to all she meets and we're discovering that this is one of the most common traits of this breed mix. She is our princess and we are so happy that we invested in this little girl.

Bailey is adorable, we have a little Morkie who is 7 months old, her name is Giana. We love her dearly, the only problem is she is not potty training, we still have to confine her in her playpen and about a ten foot area because whenever we try to let her run around the house she has a slip. You mentioned that Bailey trained easily. Can you give us any advice?

Cute Morkie
by: Susan

Bailey is so cute. I love her coloring. My Morkie, Belle was the only 1 out of a litter of 7 that was black and white. I fell in love with her right away. You are right about Morkies loving everybody. Belle is that wasy too but she also believes the world revolves around her! She has an 85 pound Lab brother who she adopted from day one. Unfortunately I don't think TJ will be around much longer as he's 12. We keep going back and forth between a Yorkie or Maltese but I'm sure it'll be a Morkie again as I love their traits.

Loving Morkie Puppy - Sparky

by John Metscher
(West Yellowstone, Montana USA)

Sparky

Sparky

Sparky is a 19 week old male Morkie. After a long one day flight, he has adapted from the mild climate in Arkansas to the wild, frigid and bitter cold of Yellowstone National Park. He was easy to house train with buffalo jerky treats. Crate training is another matter, we are working on that. He won't go to the bathroom outside... it is just too cold!!

He is like a new born baby that wants to be held or sit in my lap constantly. His affection and dedication to me is without measure.

He is very intelligent and inquisitive, loves to play and doesn't mind taking warm baths. After a bath he gets all revved up and runs around like a lightning bolt. A good game of tug of war is a favorite of his and he loves to growl and shake the heck out of his full size teddy bear and other array of toys. If my attention level doesn't satisfy him... he will untie my shoes... or tear up a magazine!

He dislikes the bitter cold up here... but who and what doesn't? Minus -*17 below zero and he will still run around and explore with a warm coat on... for awhile in the deep powder snow. I carry him around on really cold outing inside my down coat, even while we run the snow blower. He seems unafraid of loud sounds, which is great because I am in the fireworks business... hence his name "Sparky".

We can't wait till the sweet and mild mountain summer arrives. He will certainly love exploring Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Parks and the surrounding mountains with me. He is going to be a fly fisherman and adventurist!

I love this little boy and can't imagine life without him... in two weeks I have fallen in love with my little Morkie.

Sparky -- Big Dog Park and Sweaters?
by: LuLU and LoLLy!

Dear Sparky, Hi! We are LuLu and LoLLy, 2 Maltese dogs. Is Yellowstone National Park like a giant Dog Park? How fun! Also, we hope you have a lot of very warm sweaters. Math is not our strong suit, but we are pretty sure that negative 17 is a very low number, even lower than 55, which is freezing in our book since we live in Texas. Keep us posted on your adventures! We love to go traveling ourselves but have been stuck at home since we can't find the car keys after we tried to drive the hybrid by ourselves. but THAT is another story. :) Love, Your PaLs, LuLu and LoLLy! http://www.luluandlolly.com

Morkie Puppy - Isabelle (Belle)

by Susan
(Belle Plaine, MN)

After we lost of Miniature Schnauzer in Oct. I said no more puppies, that was until I saw the Morkie litter that Belle came from in an ad. I saw her and it was love at first sight. I have always loved small dogs as they are more apt to be our "babies".

Belle is almost 15 weeks and weighs almost 4 pounds. The other puppies were tan and black and butterscotch colored like their mama but Belle is black and white with long silky hair. She is miss personality plus. She can be so cuddly and lovey and then she gets going and she is like a small whirl wind.

Her older brother (11 year old lab ) has finally accepted that she is here to stay and he is so gentle with her. Thankfully at 85 pounds I was worried but he takes alot from her and then just puts his paw on her and she knows that's enough and she's off to find something else to get into.

She's very attached to her mommy already and stands and cries if I go somewhere she can't get to. I am so pleased with the Morkie breed. I think they are the best of both worlds.

Get an UPDATE on Belle, the Morkie puppy.

Golden Morkie Puppy - Petey

Little Petey

Little Petey

What a surprise this little guy was! I haven't had a dog in over 8 yrs, so I was a little unsure if I could love another as much as I loved our beautiful Golden Retriever. I had visited this little golden Morkie puppy Petey several times and tossed and turned each night... finally gave into my maternal instinct and brought him home!! He has filled a void in my life that I didn't even know was there.

Petey is 16 wks old this week and weighs about 5.5lb. He sleeps in his crate at night with out a word. Of course he is in the bedroom with me which made the transition much easier. I smile each morning when my alarm goes off and look down and see those black eyes and tiny nose looking at me,and I can just imagine what he is thinking... come on Mom get up and play with me.

I am so proud to tell everyone that he is a special little Morkie boy and how happy I am that he has come into my life.

Tiger @12 weeks

Tiger @12 weeks

Tiger is 12 weeks old in this picture and he is the most adorable Morkie puppy. Guilty as charged, I made him into a Mama's boy. He's too irresistible and cute, which makes you want to spoil and love him even more.

He is full of energy and loves playing fetch. He'll chew on anything, including our base boards. He loves to sleep on his mom's lap. Hopefully he never grows out of this phase... hehe. I can't believe I waited sooo long to have a dog. If I had known I would feel this way about Tiger, I would have gotten one sooner. My life is complete with him.

My boyfriend says "I treat this dog like I gave birth to him". My response is "yes, he's my baby".

Morkie Puppy - Doachy

by Cheri D.
(VA Beach Virginia)

Doachy at 1 year 1 month old

Doachy at 1 year 1 month old

I received a Morkie puppy for Valentines Day of 08. He was this adorable blonde/brown/black color and so full of energy. He knew we were his parents right when he saw us. I have to say it took about 6 months to potty train him but it was well worth the wait. As he grew his hair changed to almost completely blonde with black ears and it is adorable!!

When we had him neutered, we thought he would come out of surgery moping and not his usual self, like all the other dogs. Not Doachy! He came running out wagging his stubby tail, jumping all over us, just so happy to see his mama and daddy!

He is one of the most lovable dogs i have ever encountered. However he does bark at almost every person he sees which can be stressful. Doachy loves to play with bigger dogs such as labs and Australian Shepherds, which we think is hilarious. Doachy also loves to sleep curled up in the back of mine and my husbands knees. Even watching T.V on the couch he always has to be touching one of us.

He is now 1 year and almost 2 months old. What makes him so much more dear to us is what happened the day after Christmas. We were visiting family in NY (we live in VA Beach) and were packing our car for the drive home. Doachy has never seen a busy street before and where we were was an extremely busy street. He ran out the door super fast, and we couldn't catch him. He ran into the street and was hit by a car. The car dragged him about 20-30 feet and my husband and i thought he was dead. To our surprise, we saw him get up and run for any type of shelter he could find. He survived the hit with only a few minor abrasions, and of course shock! He was back to his normal self in just 2 days!

He is a strong puppy and we couldn't be any happier with him!! Doachy was what we needed to start our family and we love him so dearly!!

Before we bought a Morkie puppy, I researched the Yorkie and Maltese. I needed a companion for my husband and I that we would feel safe to have our grandchildren around. I also researched names of Yorkies, and Maltese. The name Daphne was picked out even before I saw her. She fits her name (meaning little nymph) to a T. I wanted a small dog that would travel well, as our children, grandchildren, and most of our family live in different parts of the country.

Daphne is everything we could ask for in a small dog. We have had our Morkie for 2 months. She is now 5 months old. We couldn't love her more. She keeps us laughing with her unending spunk, energy, and personality. We don't think she will get much larger. Her last vet visit, at 4 months, she was 4 lbs. She thinks she is 10 ft. tall. The pic doesn't do her justice, I don't know how to get rid of the green eyes. She has dark brown eyes in person.

Daphne is now 10 month old Maltese Yorkie mix dog.

To Lexi's owner
by: Anonymous

Hi, This is for the person from Michigan getting the puppy Lexi. To answer your question about potty training:
I too was very nervous about potty training. I had considered litter training vs/outdoor because of the weather. We have a cat also, so I always have litter.
My sister in law that breeds and raises the Morkies, Lasa Apso, and Golden Retreivers was a help. I also researched a LOT. I decided to outdoor train. I made sure that I got my puppy in the summer to start training. She was very easy. Now that it is winter, She still goes outside, and is very quick about her business.
I waited to get her untill she was 11 weeks old.
All the articles I read about the yorkie, and maltese told me that these small dogs should't leave the mom untill 12 weeks. I read one article about litter training. I think it would be fine. It didn't apply to our situation. I am not sure that an 8 week puppy should be outside, because of lack of immunization. I would suggest asking a vet! Daphne was born in Feb. We got her in May. We had a lot of time to potty train outside. She is now almost 10 mos. old. I wish you all the best with your new puppy!! Morkies are a wonderful, loveable, smart, combination breed! Keep me informed on how she does

Housebreak or Litter Train?
by: Carol

I will be getting a female Morkie, we will name Lexi, this weekend. She is 8 weeks old. I also live in Michigan and we are right in the middle of a blizzard. I am debating on whether to try housebreaking or litter training since the winter gets so bad here. Any suggestions?

Daphne
by: Linda Tessier

Hi again,

I am Daphne's mrs. master. As long as I can remember, I have wanted a Yorkie. I could never afford one. My parents, Also, my Husband never liked small dogs. I have always had German Shepard dogs (when I was younger) After we were married, we have had lots of cats, and w/our children we had Andy, a Black Lab, who was 15 when we had to have him put down. I am an animal lover. I found the Morkies by accident on the internet. Then my sister in law who raises, and breeds Lsa Apsa, Maltese, Yorkie, and Golden Labs decided that she should try breeding her Yorkie w/her Maltese. (Because I wanted a Morkie so bad) She could have had a dozen and sold them !!! She didn't realize how popular they were. She only had 3 puppies, Is going to breed them again. Daphne was a LITTLE difficult to potty train. It took about 6 weeks of faithfully watching her, and making sure she was outside every hour or two. When she got the hang of it, it was just like everything else she does. After she is finished, gets her treats. She acts like a Queen!!!! The treats I buy for her she will do anything for. I get them at pet smart, Vita Life, dried Banana/Chicken wraps. I have to break them in half. Like I said before, Daphne is amazing, and My husband just loves her!!!!!

I am joining the Morkie owner ranks!!!
by: Tiffany Cartier

Daphne,

You are adorable. I write this as I am on the eve of taking my Morkie girl "Tiffany" home tomorrow. I am nervous, but so very anxious. We have a 3 year old black lab who will love having a little sister as well as a 7 year old son who says its okay to have another girl in the house. My husband was on the fence not really liking small dogs, but gave me the greatest gift by his love and support of my dream to originally own a yorkie, but fell in love with this breed.

Okay - how difficult is potty training. Everything I read says I am in for a difficult time and this is the only aspect that makes me concerned. Suggestions????

For the love of Morkies!
by: Kim

Daphne is an absolute doll! She looks like she could be our Buddy's sister!

I, too, have just recently discovered the morkie, and like you, have just fallen in love!

We adopted our "Buddy" in January. He is the best dog I have ever owned. And I never thought I'd say that after owning two beautiful, very well-behaved labrador retrievers for more than 13 years.

Buddy is the most gentle, loving dog I have ever met. He is naturally obedient and also LOVES to play. He is gentle and sweet around the elderly as well as toddlers, almost as if he were able to sense that he can't be too playful with them.

On the other hand, he is equally as energetic and playful with teenagers and young children.

He is so adaptable and easy going. He is everything I have ever wanted in a dog. I am so happy to be the owner of a Morkie. If I were to recommend the perfect dog . . . it would be a Morkie!

Wish I could post a picture! You won't believe how much Daphne and Buddy resemble!

Daphne's First Mom Janine
by: Anonymous

Daphne is a lovable Morkie and she started out as a laid back little pup, and that is what attracted her new mom, Linda, to her. Linda soon found out, what a great personality she had and how much fun she could be. As you might have guessed, I am the breeder who bred Daphne's litter. I never could have guessed how popular these little dogs are becoming. They are wonderful little companions.

To breed or not?
by: Daphne

Hi Lulu and Lolly.

We have noticed that you spend a lot of time checking out the Morkies. I feel honored that you gave me 5 stars!!! My master went to your website WOW (-: I have a question for you. My Mr. Master would like to breed me when I am old enough. Mrs. Master is iffy. Mr. Master says that we should breed back to another Morkie, Mrs. Master says it won't matter if he is a Morkie, Maltese, or Yorkie. Do you have an opinion? IF I have puppies, it WILL only be one liter, then I am off to the vet for spay. I await your opinion. Thanks, Daphne

Feisty Morkie Puppy - Roxy

by Melissa
(Staten Island, NY)

Our dog Roxy is 5 months old and approx 3.5 pounds. She is a feisty little thing, and thinks she is much bigger than she really is. She is a good girl who loves to cuddle and play.

She is in the process of being trained and is doing well with the exception of a few slip ups here and there. She is hyper at certain points in the day but for the most part she goes about her business.

9 o'clock on the dot is bedtime. She goes in without a peep every night... wouldn't trade her for anything!!!

Zoey wanted to play so she took my glasses off my face.It was so cute!

Zoey is a 2 1/2 month old Morkie puppy. Right now we are potty training her but it has been hard since the last few days it's been raining and she hates going out in it.

She is very spoiled by us and she loves every minute of it. My husband and I have no children so she the center of attention. I'm just now starting to teach her how to sit and when she learns that we will be moving on to other trick but over all she seems to love it and is willing to learn.

She like to go for rides and we just took her to the ocean about 4 days ago. She was a little scared at 1st but after a bet she started to like it. She also liked the fact that there where other dogs she could play with out there. She a good dog and we are very glad to have our Morkie puppy.

Tiny Morkie Puppy - Napoleon

Camera date is wrong, this was March 2009

We got our Morkie puppy Napoleon when he was only 8 months old and a little over a pound. He's almost 4 months old now, about 3 pounds, and such a cutie!

His temperament is wonderful, he doesn't bark or whine much, and he has been puppy-pad trained since three days after we had him. I have a 6 and 9 yr old, and he is great with both of them (though I do have to make sure they are gentle and careful with the little guy). He sure is a spunky little thing. Napoleon was a great name choice, so small and so fearless!

My family acquired a baby Shih Tzu at the same time as Napoleon, about a week younger. They get along great when we are visiting my parents. All in all, I couldn't ask or a better dog, I have had no problems whatsoever with him, and he is as cuddly and adorable as anyone could ask or.

Morkies will definitely be my breed of choice from here on out.

Great dog/baby. He doesn't realize he is a dog I don't think.

I got my Morkie puppy Chloe about a week ago and she is just over a month old. I was given this yellow stuff from the place I got her from and I have to give her a half a cc twice a day. The other day she threw up and was not eating. Yesterday was a good day but today she has diarrhea.

I hope she's not sick. Potty training is going relatively ok. She's gone outside twice but its so cold here in Wisconsin that she can't stay out for too long. She shivers almost immediately. Anybody have any advice?

Morkie's eating habit
by: Kathy

I have a morkie named Spencer the breeder suggested Royal Cain 33 for the first month and then 33 if he does not eat real well I give him Little Cesars puppy food which is the wet stuff loves it! He just went to vet for his first shots yesterday and is doing well. We got him on Feb 19th he is almost 12 wks old. We started out with the puppy pads in the garage b/c like you said it is to cold here but now he has advanced to going outside. He does have accidents but is getting much better. Nutistat is what my breeder suggested when he is not eating or chicken flavored babyfood mixed in his or her dogfood. We are doing a puppy class April 5th in Hazel Green Wisc. Good luck, Spencer has been fun he wears ya out at times but is a smart dog! He was a birthday present for our 12yr old son. I am trying to see what a puppy cut on a morkie looks like he is ready for his first haircut.

Morkie
by: Ana

I just read your blog on your new little baby. I have a morkie too and his name is Oliver. He is now 6 months , and is sweeter than ever. I would suggest that you take your puppy to a Vet ASAP. I am not sure about your financial situation , but puppies that small need a lot of medical attention. You have to take her to get her booster shots, after that the Vet will tell you how many times you should bring her to renew her shots. Please dont ignore this , because puppies can get very sick.

She shakes because she is nervous and probably cold. You should get her a little jacket and booties. Good luck!

Teeny babies

My Graci was sent home with the Albon, too. I was told that tiny Morkies are extremely fragile healthwise - I had Graci at the vet more than my kids to the dr when they were little! Ask your vet about a tube of gel that's full of calories - I gave Graci a pea-size glop twice a day until she was acclimated to her food & her new home.

Tiny dogs shake & shiver when they're nervous or scared. Hold yours firmly under your armpit & close to your chest - she'll feel more secure.

by: Anonymous

I went back and found the website i got my info from it is http://leerburg.com/pup-med.htm. They have info on coccidia and girardia. It may just be dewormer but i would check since diarrhea and loss of appetite are very serious symptoms of a small breed pup of such ayoung age most breeders won't let a morkie leave before 6-8 weeks. My girl is 8 weeks and only 1 lb so i will have to be very careful. Please check the website and call your vet. Best of luck with your precious baby!

URGENT Yellow Stuff???
by: Anonymous

You need to ask the breeder what is and why she has it. She can become dehydrated and without eating blood sugar drops quickly in these tiny dogs and needs to be monitored. If the stuff is Albon she could have Coccidious(SP?). I was just researching cuz one in my pups litter has it and is very contagious. If she still has diarrhea you will need to take a sample to the vet! Do not take any chances with your knew baby. She is soooo cute. I've been e-mailing my breeder all day today to make sure my Lexi will be ok to pick up on Friday and I'm calling my vet tomorrow! Good Luck!!!

Should be good
by: Anonymous

Our Morkie that just turned 8 weeks also had a similar "spew" experience. The next day he ate like a champ when we were able to make a pudding of his food that the breeder offered with weaning milk powder and water. I really think that the powder helps with the digestion. So far there have been no instances of spew since. As for the shaking, morkies are so small that sometimes when they are nervous they shake. Try to make them feel more confident by laughing, being calm, and praising the puppy when it shakes. I like to just say "yea!" when he gets nervous and it really helps him stop shaking and he eventually becomes fine with whatever it was that made him nervous. Lastly, small dogs need to have a warning when being picked up if she is shaking in your arms, try to train her with "pick up!". Before picking up the puppy say this and the little one will get ready for you to lift her in the air. Imagine being hoisted up several flights with no warning at any moment... it is much better if the little one knows what is going to happen! I also like to praise him once he is in my arms with "good pick up!" So he knows that what he did was ok and not scarry.
Good Luck : )

Yellow stuff
by: milatomomma

Chloe is beautiful, she looks like she could be my Zoe's sister. The yellow stuff was probably a dewormer, they can make them throw up and have the runns. Puppy pads are the best thing for indoor/ outdoor dogs, because they know that its ok to go on them if they cant get outside.
You will have to get her some sweaters because they have hair not a thick fur. If you need a coat or sweater to go out she will too. We live in California and she gets a chill if I take her out at night. Good luck with Clhoe any questions send them my way.

But as he is three months he does not shiver anymore and runs and keeps up with my other dogs. About the vomit and diarrhea if it is persistent check with your vet it could be treated.Good Luck! This is when i first got her. She really needs a haircut now so I can't put any recent ones up.

I got my Morkie puppy on Christmas 2008 so it's been about a year. She's wild! She's very friendly and loves other dogs. She's a great watch dog we always know when someone is coming to the door, or just just walking past the house. lol.

She's very spoiled, she has quite a few outfits and she always has treats. She loves to go on walks but I can't think of a dog who doesn't. She brings me her leash if its in her reach when she wants to go on a walk.

House breaking was easy once I knew what I was doing. Sometimes I ignore my Morkie when she's telling me she has to pee so she goes and does it in the middle of the floor but I'm getting better at taking her out. She was my first real responsibility because I was 15 at the time i got her. She was a surprise so I admit i wasn't ready for that responsibility but i have grown since then and I'm really happy my mom got her for me :).

Also i was wondering if anyone had any information on what would be the outcome if I breed her with a full breed Yorkie? Please get back at me! :)

Morkie Puppy - Riley

Riley on a camping trip!

Riley on a camping trip!

My Morkie puppy is so cute. Don't think you will have him trained in a day or two. They get anxiety separation and that is when he is the worst. When we are home he is great. I've heard that it takes a while to get them past this stage. The potty training takes some patience.

He has a very good personality! They are very funny and do very cute things. He sleeps on his back with all fours spread out. Riley is very good with all the grandkids, he loves all of them. He would never bite at all! They are very even tempered.

My Morkie is about 12 pounds now and is 7 months old. We love him dearly. They are great travelers also. We live in Nebraska and he has been to the Pacific Ocean already and traveled better than the kids.

He is a Shorkie from Duncan Nebraska. And we wouldn't give him up for anything. You will love yours also if that is what you decide to get. Just remember that any dog you get is going to be a commitment for their whole life. Take care of them!

P.s. He rarely barks, and is not yippy!

Morkie Puppy - Archie

by Kadi
(Baton Rouge, Louisiana)

This is Archie AND he is a male Morkie puppy. In this picture he is 6 weeks old and weighs 2.3 lbs. I found him from a local(ish) breeder in Louisiana.

I was told he came from a 7 lbs. female Maltese, and a 6 lbs. Yorkie (both pure). He has brought so much joy and happiness to me already. Just one small thing, and please comment and HELP!!!:

Does he look like a Morkie? ... I ask this because i see a little Chihuahua in him. I'm not sure if i am freaking out because I know the breeder had a Chihuahua. Also, he has whiskers? I have been researching to see if that is possible for Morkie's?

Either way, Archie is a great lovable dog. Very playful.

Yorktese puppy
by: Anonymous

I have both Maltese and Yorkies as well as several other breeds. My sister has chihuahua's and mixes. I have never seen the kind of coat on this puppy on any Maltese or Yorkshire. If the breeders have a Chi I would be very suspicious. You could have a DNA test but the expense would outweight the concern. I think i might just drop the breeder a line or call. Perhaps depending on the cost you had to pay there could be some compensation to you without loosing your little fella. I have had dogs that didn't turn out to be the champion I was looking for but by the time I find they have a physical disability it is too late. I can't just let them go back and get a replacement. Some folks don't understand but for me it's like raising a baby for a year or so and then finding out it has a bad leg. I can't trade it in for a new one. Already in love. However, in your case where I do believe you did not even get the breed you were promised there should be a compromise you could make that would satisfy you and the breeder without having to give up your baby. And no doubt the breeder would be aware of the benefit to them. It would be easy enough to prove the pup isn't Maltese and Yorkie.

Morkie puppy look
by: Susan

Kadi,
Archie is adorable as are most all Morkies. When we saw our Morkie's litter mates I was totally surprised. Everyone of them looked different. There were 7 of them. Some looked alot like their Yorkie mom (black and tan), some were butterscotch color and then there was my little Belle who I fell in love with the first time I saw her picture on the ad. Belle is black and white! She has features from both parents. She has the little Maltese face and ears, some tan coloring is showing up on her ears. I am not sure what to think of her hair. It's baby fine with lots of pink skin underneath but it's not curly or wavy or straight really, it just looks like a bad hair day. My husband says her hair looks like a long haired guinea pig (Belle and I don't think that's funny!!) I searched a lot of web sites to look at Maltese and Yorkie and Morkie pictures. I can only say, no two really look alike. One thing I will say about Belle, she has her mama's Yorkie stubborn streak. Enjoy Archie, as her grows he may change several times in looks, but always cute!

Morkie Puppy - BOOTZ

by Johanna
(New York)

this is my puppy bootz

this is my puppy bootz

I have a Morkie puppy as well. His mother is full Maltese and his father was mix Maltese and Yorkie. Bootz is the sweetest hes very hyper and alwayz has the most energy out of all the dogs I know.

When I first got him he was real sick because he would not eat, for people with this problem and there pup I suggest you buy a syringe and baby food mix the baby food (something meaty) and healthy with pancake syrup. Boots blood pressure was dropping and vomiting alot so i did this for a few weeks and the syrup really helps, he became the happy healthy puppy he is today... good luck

I love my Morkie and I know u would to, everyone stops me on how different he looks and the color fur he has as well they are good looking and very loving.

Morkie Puppy - Tinkerbell

by Deonna
(Kansas City, MO)

Tinkerbell is a 6 1/2 month old Morkie puppy. I adopted her when she was 3 months old - I saw her picture online and it was love at first site.

She is cute as a button and is SO smart. I tried keeping her in a pet pen (like a child's playpen) when she was very little and she promptly figured out how to jump out. She's like a little rabbit jumping all over the place.

We have another puppy - a 5 month old Chihuahua mix named Stormy that we rescued from a shelter. Stormy and Tinkerbell are pals. They love chasing each other through the house (and outside in our fenced yard) playing tag and hide n seek. Tinkerbell also thinks our cats are her pals, but they aren't so sure of her.

Tinkerbell is very loving and outgoing. There isn't a person or animal that Tinkerbell doesn't love. She is a little confused though when an animal doesn't love her back (like our cats). When she hears me pull into the garage after work she greets me at the door with tons of kisses (that's my favorite). She also likes to snuggle up on our laps and take naps.

I can't imagine my life without my her!

awe thanks!! She is the light of my life for sure. That is cute that she is so much like your Daphne. I've seen a few other morkies that I thought the same thing - that they looked SO much like my Tink. Tink is now over a year old (she is a year and 4 months) and has topped out at 8 lbs. She is a skinny little thing but is long (she is 12 inches in length (from base of neck to base of tail). In fact she is so skinny she needs an XS in dog clothes, but so long that most of the XS dresses look like crop tops on her! I didn't realize morkies were long like that. Anyway - hope you enjoy your Daphne as much as I enjoy Tink!

Cute Morkie

Your little Bailey reminds me so much of my little Belle when we first got her. Same look, face and body but Belle is black and white.

These little ones are so loving and adorable but Belle can be a stinker. She was just over 2 pounds when I got her and now at 1 1/2 years she is a whopping 7 pounds! Thinks she can take on the world. Belle has her dad's Maltese looks with the ears and tail and hair but the face and expressions are mommy Yorkie!

Enjoy your baby, they can totally change your life for the better.

My Morkie puppy was the runt of the litter and had every worm you can imagine. Eye infection and Pnemonia at 2 pounds 6 weeks old. She came from a puppy mill and was on the way out. Folks did not want her cause she was sick.

We were very close to losing her but she never gave up. She would cough till she would drop. Our vets were worried but it is all good now she is 7 pounds and healthy with no damage at 9 months old.
Our Morkie puppy loves everybody and is happy to cuddle or spring into action to chase birds or anything in her yard.

She has a stubborn side and is very sassy but makes up for it but not messing in the house all day while we are gone to work. She has brought much joy to my husband and I as we were missing our dog of 16 years.

Morkie Puppy Update - Trixie

by Hollie Ernest
(Escanaba, MI)

Trixie playing in the snow!

Trixie playing in the snow!

Here is an update on my Morkie puppy Trixie. She is 9 months old now and weighs about 5 pounds. She is such a great puppy. She loves to play fetch and would probably play all day if we let her! She loves to go outside and hop around in the backyard. Trixie loves chewing on bones and finding hiding spots to bury her bones (though she doesn't hide them very well).

She is completely potty-trained. When she needs to go, she heads to the door and scratches or barks to get our attention. We used treats to reward her when she went potty outside and that seemed to be the best way to potty train her. You just need to make sure that you bring the treat with you and give it to your puppy immediately after they do their "business".

My Morkie puppy can be very active and yet she loves to lounge around. She doesn't get out of bed until my boyfriend does, except for a potty break or two. She loves to snuggle in between us and lay with her head up on the pillow.

Trixie prefers smaller dogs. She gets along with some dogs and some other dogs she just doesn't seem to care for. But, she loves cats! She gets very excited whenever she sees a cat and wants to play, but usually she is a little too much excitement for the cats!

All in all, she is an awesome puppy. I love her so much and she is just like my little baby. I would definitely recommend a Morkie to someone who has the time to be with them a lot and who loves a small, fun, loving dog.

So much of what you said about your Morkie reminds me of mine. She is just like a baby to me, and at age 2 now, she, too, loves cats. I kept my daughter's cat, for a week. The two of them almost wore themselves out playing and wrestling and finding new ways to jump out onto each other.

My Morkie is good natured and is very loving. I could not have gotten a better dog.

Morkie Puppy - Lila

Lila is a 14 week old Morkie puppy and is the baby of the house, she knows it to. She is 4.5 lbs so I am thinking she will be as big as 9 lbs. I really can't figure out if she is more Yorkie or Maltese. She is not 100% house broken but we are almost there.

She loves her toys and can fit under neath every piece of furniture in the house. So finding at times is hard, although all I have to say is " Lila you want a treat?" in a really high pitched voice and at a blink of an eye she is at my feet.

She hates her leash and harness. Any advise on how to get her use to it? Is your Morkie also difficult with their leash?

by: Little Miss Muffit

Morkies are adorable. From what I've seen, just about any dog mixed with a Maltese make adorable and lovable little dogs! We trained Muffit from 8 wks. old to use a cat box with newspaper or puppy pads. It worked well. She only made mistakes when she got lazy in her rebellious teen stage and decided close was good enough!! But we are being much more watchful and rewarding any "presents" in the box graciously. She's doing well. She likes going outside as,too, but winter might make her box a better choice so we keep encouraging her to use it. We began her walking with a halter and leash right away at 8 wks. She didn't balk, but pulls. We have worked on that by not moving if she pulls and making her know we are the boss of when and where we go. At times I use a recoiling longer leash so she can have some freedom. She usually runs ahead and then turns and looks for me and returns to walk along side.

Morkies go through a 6-8 mo. teen rebellion or at least Muffit did. She will be a year old next month and seems to be mellowing out a bit and is much more obedient. Just never give up! They are smart and learn quickly. Good luck.

Morkie Puppy - Beasley

Beasley

Beasley

Beasley is currently 10 mos. old and is a very sweet Morkie puppy. He loves to play with toys, he chases our cats, loves to be near us, but can also be independent. He does not shedd and I have no allergy problems with him as I do with other dogs. He does bark when outsiders come into his territiory, but he can be quieted.

House training was difficult at first, but he holds it all night and during the day if we are out; other than that when he is running loose in the house I take him out about every 2 hours and he is pretty good. Our Morkie puppy is very cute and we really love him so much. He makes us happy, he is such a funny little guy. Oh yeah--He just loves to "give kisses". I am definately sold on the Morkie mixed breed.

This wonderful little guy is a 5 month old Morkie puppy. He was another family's pup, but they were unable to give him the proper attention he needs. Your little Chooey is adorable! You will love having him, I assure you. We got our Muffit when she was almost 8 wks. old. She's the best little dog I've ever had. She uses a cat box with newspaper for her "business." That made it nice this winter when it was snowing. It also simplifies my worrying about her as she uses it all the time and learned to very quickly! They are way too smart for their own good, I agree! She does not like to "come." She loves to play "seek and find" instead. She will stop and let me pick her up most of the time, but it is very frustrating! Has anyone had success with this runaway problem? She'll come if she knows I have a treat for her, but most of the time, she thinks it's all a game.

Morkie Puppy Lexie

by Susie
(St Paul, MN)

Lexie is a 6 month old Morkie puppy. She looks more like a Yorkie than Maltese (especially the ears). She is a sweet little puppy, but definitely has a mind of her own. She has been a little tough to potty train and absolutely will not go on potty pads indoors as she wants to be outside. We live in MN and the snow has not hindered her being outside at all. My Morkie puppy is overly anxious and wants to puppy bite the grandkids. I'm using a pop can with pennies inside to train her not jump on the kids and to not bark. It's working like a charm. I highly recommend this method.

by: Little Miss Muffit

Lexie is definitely adorable. Muffit is a Morkie, too. She has a cream-colored coat with gold highlights. I wanted her ears to stand up like a Yorkie because it is so cute! She had one ear up and one ear down. At her haircut appt. I asked them about it, and they trimmed her ears like a Yorkies, and now both ears stand up fine.

I totally agree with the noisy can. It does work!

As for nipping grandkids, teach them to be pack leaders. My grandkids stay with me. When we'd go for walks and strange dogs came towards us, I taught them to stand still and as tall as they could and not look at the dogs. It works great.

As for potty pads vs. outdoors--we had to give Muffit treats when we'd catch her doing her thing on the potty pad as she started thinking "close" was good enough. It worked. She loves getting a treat for whatever she deposits. She also likes to go outside even in the snow. She's happy doing it either way, and it makes traveling with her really nice. We use her potty pads in motel rooms just like home. We love it. So don't give up on them, just teach her how much praise she gets for doing it there.

Phineas Loves the camera

Phineas is our 14 week old Morkie puppy. He just came to us from Diamond MO. He is the cutest, lively little guy ever. Upon arriving here is California he took to our family immediately. Kisses and attention is what he gives and gets, but in the minute we have had him he at the same time is a good listener.

We definitely need to get him puppy school and continue with the crate training (within hours of his first night in a crate, we had Security at our door from neighbors complaining - Did I mention he has the loudest most piercing vocals ever...) He's a doll face, and I hope to hear more stories and "lessons learned" from other Morkie parents!

by: Little Miss Muffit

Your little pup is a cutie. Miss Muffit just turned one year old yesterday. And we love her dearly still. Muffit also has a very high-pitched bark. She reserves it for people she knows and loves when they come to see her. She gets so excited about people! The only place we can keep her calm and "barkless" during visits is to put her in her crate. She's quiet as can be in there. This is a good thing. I'm sure Phineas will adjust and learn to be happy in his crate. I always leave Muffit with a treat in hers, but she never eats it till we let her out. She runs out with kisses when we release her, then turns around and runs back in it to get her treat, brings it out and enjoys it. Fun little dogs. They learn quickly, so give Phineas a chance to adjust and learn.

Morkie Puppy - Ginney

by Cathy
(Connecticut)

Love that Face

Love that Face

Two years ago, following the death of my last cat, I flew to Virginia to visit family and pick up my Morkie puppy. She was a darling from the start. She seemed to understand going potty outside the very first day. She has a great personality and constantly keeps anyone around her entertained with her antics. She loves when visitors come, and adores other dogs and especially loves cats.

Though she was dark brown when I got her, she has lighter hair now-like a dirty blond with brown and black streaks on her ears and white mostly on her chest. My Morkie puppies big eyes melt my heart.

She likes to play fetch and chase toys. Ginney also loves to go to the park and to the beach, where she likes to dig in the sand and walk by the waves.

When I lost my last cat, who had diabetes for many years, I said I would not ever get any more pets. I am so glad I changed my mind and found my Morkie Ginney. She sleeps next to me and is my little shadow. She weighs about 6 pounds- not a big eater but loves treats for doing tricks and being a good girl.

Rarely sits long enough for a pic

Rarely sits long enough for a pic

This sweet girl came into our home quite by accident, and I am soooo happy. Our Morkie puppy is absolutely perfect. She just turned 6 months and is about 7lbs. Great disposition with everyone in the family. She does wonderfully with my 6 1/2 yr old daughter and plays her heart out with our other 2 yr old smaller mix pup and our 2 cats. A full house.

Thankfully she has an older role model to help with housebreaking. But if it's raining out FORGET ABOUT IT!! She'll literally stand on the door jam outside and go. Doesn't like the wet ground!! Hopefully that will change.

At any rate, so happy to see other Morkies and Morkie puppies. I wasn't too sure about how her looks were going to evolve. But I've seen a couple of pups on this site that I think help to give an idea of how she will look. Love the stories and pics. Thanks for letting me share about our Sammy!

Sammy
by: Little Miss Muffit

Your Morkie, Sammy, is a cutie and looks a lot like my Miss Muffit. Muffit is white and gold colored. Her hair is so soft and pretty when she's freshly bathed and brushed. I love it! Muffit is good with kids, too. In fact, she can't stand it if she sees children and doesn't get to go "greet" them with kisses. Muffit is 5 1/2 mos. old and about 6-7 lbs. We met two little Yorkies on our walk today, and she was almost as big as they were. These little Morkies are such good little dogs and so much fun; no less full of mischief!

Playful Morkie Puppy - Maggie

The Magster

The Magster

My Morkie puppy is Loving, Playful, Independent. While playing but must follow us around to every room. A precious stinker. Loves to be held when she wants to be held, hates to be held when she doesn't.

Loves to lick faces. Loves her toys. Hates her cage. Loves our bed. Loves blankets and dirty laundry and stinky shoes.

Loves to run up the stairs but hates coming down.
Maggie is... Maggie.

Pampered Morkie Puppy - Benji

by Lorraine
(Lawrenceville, GA)

I just got my Morkie puppy Benji(3 months old) a couple of days ago. He is so cute that on the way home, everybody stopped us to say how cute he was. He really looks like a she.

He is special and loves to be pampered. His first day home was as if he lived there since birth. My Morkie even used the newspaper and continues to be easy to house train. He is funny and loves to act silly. He watches television, but I have to hold him.

I am trying not to spoil him rotten, but it's hard. He has gotten used to my schedule and knows when it's time to go to his room. He loves to hold a conversation. He sleeps not only with his head covered, but has to be touching me with his paw or body.

Morkies are the best
by: Anonymous

Benji is just adorable. Don't you just love the Morkie personality. If I could afford it I'd have another one. Our morkie is also 3 months and is 4 1/2 lbs now. She is just the best pupppy we've ever had. Continue to pamper that precious pup. He's worth it.

Morkie Puppy Update - Bailey

by Rebecca Lang
(Houston, Texas)

Here's what love with fur looks like.

Here's what love with fur looks like.

Here is an update on our little Morkie puppy. She is now seven and a half months and has changed so much in her appearance. She has gotten much lighter in her coloring but is still an adorable little creature. She is still love with fur and we wouldn't trade her for any amount of money.

She started out looking like a little E-Wok from Star Wars and now has a cream colored face with warm brown eyes that sparkle at the mention of playing chase or going by by. She is the best little dog we have ever had.

Potty training
by: Bailey's Mom

It took us five months to train Bailey. The key is consistancy and rewards for good behavior. We found a treat that she really liked. If she did her business outside we would praise her profusely and reward her with her favorite treat. If she had an accident in the house she didn't get the reward or our praise. Instead we would not play with her or give her our undivided attention. Bailey, like most of these pups is very sensitive to your approval or disapproval. It was so hard on her when she sinced our disapproval that it didn't take long for her to figure out which behavior was more favorable for her. Your baby will eventually get it I'm sure. I also got some of the Dog Whisperer Tapes for help and this was one of his suggestions.

Potty Training
by: Miss Angel

My Morkie is seven months old and is still not potty trained. She is driving me crazy. I take her out every two hours and she still doesn't let me know she has to go potty. Same place in the yard every time. Any suggestions? Were at our ropes end and ready to give her away if she doesn't get it soon. She sneaks in the house and poops. I have her gated in the hallway when I can't watch her yet she manages to sneak off and do her business in the hallway.

Re: Morkie coloring
by: Jan

My Morkie changed her looks completely too. She is 6 months old and started out black, brown and tan. She is now gray and has a little tan on her ears. But the cutest little thing ever. Even though her coloring is what made me pick her, I wouldn't trade her for anything either. But from a lot of the comments on this site, it seems that the color change is very common in Morkies. They are great little dogs!

Bailey
by: Little Miss Muffit

My morkie, Little Miss Muffit just turned 6 mos. a couple weeks ago. Her coloring lightened a lot. She is white with gold markings. We gave her a short summer haircut as she went in to be spayed last Wednesday. Talk about looking like a whole new dog?
Wow! It was quite the transformation from a furry-faced ragamuffin to a ? What? I guess she resembles a Schnauzer. Cuter than heck! She went through her operation just great. She was her old self in a day and chewed out one of her 3 stitches. Since then she has an ace bandage wrapped around her middle! Looks very funny, but works fine. These dogs are so much fun.

Morkie Puppy - Sadie

Sadie stealing her treat bag

Sadie stealing her treat bag

Sadie is my 11 month old Morkie puppy and she weights 9 lbs. She had surgery on her leg 3 months ago. The vet said she had Legg Perthes Disease. Now we are fighting allergies, she has been on different meds, but yet nothing is helping. Does anybody with a Morkie have this problem?

Other then that she is very lovable. She loves to go to the Puppy Dog Park and the Puppy Dog Store. I couldn't see my life without her.

westie
by: Anonymous

Your dog is a westie or a mix with westies, look at the ears and nose. Those ears are not yorkie or Maltese. My mother in law has a westie and they are identicle. Especially the long face and the big black nose. I would check into that.

Well, Sadie finally went to Baltimore for testing. The poor baby has 13 allergeries. She is on shots right now and if that work she will be on them for the rest of her life.

Morkie Allergies
by: Jen

Hi Sadie! My mom's morkie also suffers from allergies. She's just determined that they are food related. She has only fed him Iams Veterinary Hypoallergenic food and Science Diet Hypoallergenic treats. Absolutely no other treats or people food. The allergies seem to be to beef and grains. In the two months since he's been eating this diet his allergies have completely resolved!

Hi Sadie, it's us again!
by: LuLu and LoLLy!

Sadie -- we just wanted to say how lucky you are to have humans who care so much and who are working so hard to help with your allergies. We really wish we could help more. Maybe it's some strange food thing? Have you tried a different set of provisions? Will you please keep us posted? You can find us at http://www.luluandlolly.com. We sure do wish you well. :)

Sadie's owner
by: Glenda

Yes, Sadie did have the surgery 3 months ago. She is doing VERY GOOD the only time her leg bothers her is when its cold out or snow on the ground then she will hold up her leg. As for her allergies she is now on Atopica. But, still not 100%.We are giving her 1 more month on it and if she still keep chewing and itching herself will we thinking of taking her to Baltimore for Allergy testing. Thank You For Asking About Sadie

Awww!
by: LuLu and LoLLy!

Dear Sadie and Sadie's human, We are 2 Maltese dogs, and this is such an adorable picture. We had not heard of Leggs Perthes but looked it up on the internet and wondered if Sadie had surgery. Also, in terms of allergies, LuLu has a lot of allergies. She weights 5 - 5.5 pounds, so generally a little less than 1/2 a children's Benadryl in the morning will help her. However, and this is a good tip to know -- one time we gave her Benadryl morning and night for two days and it led to a sinus infection -- we thought it was just her allergies were super bad, but it was an infection. Our vet explained that what happens is that the allergy medicine like Benadryl can dry everything up in their sinuses, and their sinuses are so little that there isn't enough moist mucas left to continue to get out, and bacteria gets stuck and next thing you know there is an infection. However, it sounds like Sadie has tried all sorts of medicines for allergies. We wish we could offer more advice. Love, Your PaLs, LuLu and LoLLy!

knucklehead
by: Anonymous

Hi,we have a 7 month old morkie we named Knucklehead, I'm into scooters, anyway we are the 3rd owner of the little guy who seems to be adapting . Our labradoodle who is severely spoiled is a little jealous and doesn't like knucklehead jumping on him but we are working on that. The only other obstacle is Knucklehead has severe halitosis and we are not sure why but the first owner we were told fed him yogurt and then the 2nd owner had two small children which we do not know what transpired there. We were hoping maybe the baby teeth falling out would cure the halitosis but not yet.. but he is a loveable little guy and we will work around the little stuff.

Prince Hairy is just adorable. Did you get him from a MN breeder? We are waiting for our new puppy Layla to come home. We should get her in June.
It was great to see a morkie from MN, especially one so cute and close in distance. Take care of that beautiful puppy.

Morkie Puppy - Maya

Maya in the backyard

Maya in the backyard

Hi there! This is my Morkie puppy! She's almost 3 months-old and I got her about 3 weeks ago. She's just the cutest thing! I've had many other dogs, but she's the best among all of them. She is so focused and knows what to do (most of the time :P) I've had some trouble when coming to potty training, although she's made some progress. She loves to play with her toys and also enjoys sleeping in her cute little bed.

This picture was taken today (18/01/10). She just learned how to jump on that little area. She's so nice with all of our family members. I didn't have the chance to meet both of her parents, I just met her mom,so I'm not completely sure of her breed :( Could you please tell me what you think? :) If so, I totally recommend Morkie puppies :)

Morkie Puppy - Jager

by Meredyth
(Jacksonville, MorkFlorida )

My finance and I had talked about getting a dog, but were not actively looking when I saw my Morkie puppy Jager. He was at a pet store I visited with a friend. I knew I had to have him.

He was a little shell shocked when we brought him home, after being picked up and handled by so many different people. Now, about 2 months later he is a happy, fun dog that adds so much joy to our home. He was born May 18th 2008, and weighs 6 1/2 pounds.

UPDATE: He is still an absolute joy in our home! He's fun, smart, and even woke my fiance up one morning when my sons alarm clock hadn't gone off. I don't know how 1 dog could take over my heart so easy!
