Teddybear came to us as a blessing. We were in Altell and overheard a lady on her cellphone talking about trying to find a home for her puppy.

Rocky the Morkie is 10 years old. He is cute smart and very loving. He loves his Golden Retriever Brother and Yorkie Sister. I got him from a friend that bought him and go tired of him when he turned 6 months. He loves to bark but I would not change him for anything.

My husband and I got married a little while ago and for a wedding present he got me a Maltese. We LOVE him. His name is Bruiser and is the best dog ever.
So 2 months ago we saw a Morkie and my husband just had to get him. So we did and we named him Taz because his hair color is just like a Tazmanian Devil. Little did we know his personality fit the name too! He is alot of fun. Loves to play and cuddle and lick all over. He is adorable and very loving.
I thought he would be like our Maltese calm and very much a lap dog but is opposite! One of his only downfalls is he yips and yips all night and hates to be by himself even for 2 minutes. He needs constant attention (but thats ok everyone loves paying attention to him!) He gets along great with our Maltese and all other dogs.
I am very happy we purchased him and if anyone is thinking of getting a Morkie I'd say go for it! Just don't expect him to be as easy and calm as a Maltese. These guys can be a handful!

Gizmo is an extremely lovable Morkie dog. He has a very sweet personality and is a big people-lover! He has never met someone he doesn't like! Morkies also love to play- Gizmo's favorite toys are squeakers and water bottles!
He loves to be with his mommy and daddy wherever they go. Gizmo also loves children, even babies! A Morkie is a great choice for you if you want a loving, playful, non shedding companion who will follow you around all day long!

Bentley is a smart Morkie and a 'buff' colored beauty weighing in at around 9 pounds. He is a very intelligent dog and sometimes can be quite stubborn. We got him when he 10 weeks old and he was house trained in less than a couple weeks which is very rare for small dogs.
He is an extremely fast learner who loves exploring his surroundings. Bentley is also a great watch dog. The slightest noise and he will alert you to it. The barking is something we are currently working on. Bentley is also a very sweet dog. He has the cutest personality. His favorite toy is a little teddy bear that he loves to cuddle. Once Bentley gets to know you its friends for life. He does best with older children and adults. Sometimes large crowds can overwhelm him.
My Morkie loves to cuddle but he also loves his independence. Many times you can find him snuggled up in another room or entertaining himself with his favorite toys. Bentley is a great dog for small apartments, but when we visit my family's house he practically lives outside and loves running around the yard. He's quite the puppy. Bentley just celebrated his first birthday last month.

Boomer is a full blood Maltese male, and he is almost 2 yrs old. He weighs 8.4 lbs, and he is very loving. He is especially fond of me (yippee). We rescued him about 5 months ago from a Puppy Mill in Arkansas.
Sooner is a Morkie, and he is 15 weeks old (7/19/08).He weighs 3 lbs, and he is the funniest puppy ever. He is very playful and thinks he is very tough. He is always pulling on Boomer's tail and barking and growling at him. But once Boomer "plays" back Sooner will run and hide behind me, but he will still be barking and growling like he is going to do something. It's very funny to watch.
If you are thinking about becoming a Morkie or Maltese owner, then you are looking forward to ALOT of FUN!!!

Our Morkie Belle update
Last time I placed our Morkie Belle's photo she was 7 months old. She is now 2 years and one of the loves of our lives. She is 8 pounds but small and petite. She loves to play and her daddy is her favorite toy. She still does zoomies and makes us laugh all the time, she can be so silly. Now our Morkie is adjusting to a new baby brother right now so she has someone to play with. What a little crowd these two are.

I have a male Morkie who is 8 months old. He is cute, sweet, but stubborn and independent. When we call him he pretty much runs the other way and comes to see me to cuddle when he chooses to.
He loves to sleep and cuddle with my other dog Maya which is a female Lab Retriever mix and Charlie follows her around everywhere. They do everything together, when we put them outside, he refuses to come inside unless she is right there with him. He is fearless, he is so small but yet bosses around Maya who is much bigger than he is, he makes it clear to her that he is the little boss.
He likes to play, going outside, sitting down watching us cook or clean. He is very funny and does the cutest things. He loves when I clean his ears with Qtips and loves water and taking his bath. He sleeps on my feet every chance he gets, even when I'm cooking, as soon as i stop moving, there he is, laying on my feet, or anytime I sit down.
We love him to death! He is part of my family and would not trade him for any other dog in the world, he truly brings joy to my husband and I and our 3 kids. I would recommend a little Morkie to anyone who is looking for a dog. As I sit here writing this, he is laying on my foot, which he loves to do. Every time a visitor comes over, they ask if they could take him home because he's so adorable. He loves visitors too! He is just a pure joy!!!!

Our Morkie puppy is 3 months old. He is so bossy, definitely tries to dominate everything and everyone, especially other dogs. I have not been able to potty train him, he will go outside without any problem but will come right back in and pee and poo.
He barks constantly and bites... but our Morkie puppy is beautiful and I am hoping that when we have him fixed he will calm down because the joke in our home is that Beau has ADHD. Hyper does not begin to describe him...

Lilly bell is a 3 month old Morkie. She loves everyone she meets and loves chew toys. She likes when you hold her like a little baby and rub her tummy, and when you do she will lick you and give you kisses all over. She has her little pink princess bed and her little squeaky dog and sandle she sleeps with. Lilly loves to run around the back yard, dig small holes, and walk around the block. I love her so much.
If you want a Morkie BE PREPARED, at night if you play with her to wild she gets a little spunky, like all Morkies. Her bark is very squeaky and if you don't give her what she really wants she will cry forever. But she is a good girl and if you want a dog that's good with the kids and family get a Morkie.

Our Morkis is a sweet, little tiny bundle of love. Very timid and non-aggressive personality. He doesn't like strangers, strange places, or for me (his mommy) to leave him. I love him so much and he is my little sweetheart! Mr. Fang is the name my teenage daughter picked for our Morkie because he is the exact opposite! She thinks it's hilarious.

CUTIE AT 12 WEEKS
I have a 1 year old Yorkie Maltese mix (Morkie) named Cutie. I got her as a suprise gift from my dad who says he was driving and saw a man holding her in the streets giving her away and made a u-turn and fell in love with her and thought she'd be the perfect gift for me. He was right. She was about 2 months old when i got her. I took her to the vet and I had her micro-chipped and given all of her vaccines needed. She is very mellow, yet get's sooo happy and excited when I come back from class. She jumps up in extreme happiness. By the way, does anyone else's Morkie jump really high off the ground? Anyways, when I first got her, I would feed her dry/wet dog food mixed together as well as plenty of water accessible throughout the day and night. She became very adapted to the house and environment with no problem! I have two neices - a 1 year old and a 4 year old - and Cutie plays wonderful with them and is careful as not to hurt the girls or play too rough. She sleeps with me at night on my bed. At first, she was hard to potty train. Very hard. You just have to have patience. After months of potty training, she finally has somewhat of a pee-pee schedule. When I wake up in the morning I take her outside right away to avoid premature pee episodes. And at least twice throughout the day (usually when I go outside to smoke a cigarette), and of course right before we go to bed. She loves to go on car rides and loves to stick her head out the passenger window while driving. She just recently got into heat for about 2 weeks already. I ended up adopting a pure breed 1 year old Yorkie male about a week ago. Now she has a boyfriend yay!. She actually let him mate with her with no resistance. Its been about a week since there mating episode, so we're looking forward to a bigger family!! Hopefully keep the Morkie family going on. Overall, she is the best breed of dog I have ever owned. She is very protective of me and my family. She doest bark at strangers but most dogs naturally do that. She doesn't bark annoyingly only when necessary. She's completely hypo-allergenic and she has a beautiful soft luxorious coat. She's just perfect. My spoiled little angel. I highly recommend the Yorkie Maltese mix dog breed to any type of person or family looking for a new loving addition to the family household.

Madison is a great female Morkie!! She is two years old and the best dog I have ever owned. She will grow at my husband and me if we try to discipline the kids, but she is not really vicious and does not bite she just protects her kids. At night if we go into the kids room when they are sleeping our Morkie will grow to let us know she on duty.
We think that is so cute because I walk up to the bed she just licks my hand. We absolutely love this dog even my husband who was not crazy about getting a dog loves this dog!!!!!!
Princess Alexis Isabella (aka Lexi) is my 6 month old Morkie. She is absolutely crazy and has a one of a kind personality. She is ALWAYS happy, constantly wagging her long fluffy tail, and she truly looks like she smiles all the time!
She is very very hyper and never seems to run out of energy. She loves toys and running laps around the house or chasing her poodle friend. She is also very loving, always giving kisses, and loves to sit on my lap.
We have a slight problem with her chewing on shoes and climbing onto the table trying to get food when we're not looking, but I can never seem to stay mad at her for long. My Morkie is a wonderful puppy and very special to me!!

Just me and my piggy.
My Morkie, named Punkie Haushinka, is the sweetiest dog I've ever had. She'd never hurt anyone or anything. She's a momma's girl, always my shadow and loves everyone she comes across. She loves to be held and petted, but she does not like to be brushed! She was black and tan but her fur is getting lighter, and she has BIG ears! She has a silly personality. She growls and throws her toys up in the air. If I throw a toy, she'll run real fast and leap high in the air at the toy...even over steps! She dances for treats and loves chicken jerky treats, which we call Chickie Treats. She'll also dance for the band Green Day when I play them (my favorite band the the inspiration for her middle name). My Morkie is the best behaved dog I've ever had and it's amazing how loving she is. The only problem we've had is she's housetrained but sometimes does have accidents. And she loves people so much she just wants to greet them all!

Bickle the Morkie is a very hyper little dog and really likes to bite and chew. If you leave something on the floor he will find it and he will chew it.
He is very intelligent and picks up on things quickly. He is a very sweet dog who will cuddle up by your feet and legs or right by you on the couch.

2010 Halloween Muffit
The first time I told about Little Miss Muffit (Morkie), she was only four months old and 3 1/2 lbs. Now Muffit is a year old and weighs
7 1/2 lbs. She is even lighter yet being very creamy white with a few golden hairs blended in. Her skin is dark, however. Between 8 and 10 months she hit a stubborn teenager stage. Since we had box-trained her from the beginning with a box and puppy pads, she had done very well. But at that awkward stage, she began to think "close" was good enough! Oops! That didn't make me very happy, and she found herself getting scolded a lot. Then I thought about how that was not the right thing to do, so from then on she receives rewards (a small dog treat) for every little thing she does in her box. I pay very close attention! The results were very quick, and now we get "gifts" in the right spot, and she is quite happy with herself! She's good about doing her thing outside, too, and pretty much potties on command.
Traveling with our Morkie this past summer was a joy because she is so good about pottying where she should and when she should. She loves the attention she gets from everyone we meet everywhere we go. She's quite the socialite with kids and adults. We have a wonderful time. I hope everyone of you I read about here are enjoying your puppies, too. These little Maltese mixes make the best pets in the world!

He is very much a family dog with lots of energy and loves to play with toys.
He does not like to be left home alone and enjoys going for a ride in the car or just a walk to the park.
Very sweet and affectionate. He is the most high maintenance dog I have ever owned but well worth it.

Our Morkie dog Madison is very playful with everyone, however at night she sleeps in the bed with my twin daughters and growls at me or my husband if we come near the be. She does not ever actually bite, but considers herself as the girls guard dog. She will pull on my husband's pant leg if she thinks he's trying to hurt the girls or playing too rough with them.
Though she sleeps in the bed with the girls, she has a bed on the floor she uses when we are gone. Our Morkie will take her toys after she's finished playing with them and she puts them back in her bed. One day she got into my trash, and later I was sweeping by her bed and I saw something in her bed, well it was two rib bones we had had the day before that she got out of the trash. I guess she had hid them there for later. We adore our Morkie dog Madison!!!! She only one, but she's stolen all our hearts, even my husband who did not really want a dog.

I got Macy a couple of weeks ago and she is such a sweetie! She is almost 5 months old now and weighs almost 5 lbs. She is a furball of energy.
She loves playing with her squeaky toys and tearing up paper. She also notices and barks at her reflection in the mirror - she just can't understand why that other Morkie won't play with her!
She interacts well with other pups and she loves everyone. I would definitely recommend a Morkie!

Punkin is a five month old Maltese Yorkie mix, who weighs in at about 5lbs 6oz. A friend of mine had done a rescue of a little Morkie that was adorable, and after that, the hunt was on!
We actually found an excellent breeder that was located in our area, so we were able to go and pick her up at about seven weeks. We had lost our two older dogs this past year, and had a very lonely three year old Westie at home.
This little girl has been been a joy to our entire household with her curious personality, and sunny disposition. I can't imagine a world any longer without our sweet little "Morkie"!

This is Bentley the 2nd, a male Morkie, his mom was Maltese and dad Yorkie, He is 16mos old and 5lbs. He is soooo affectionate and dedicated. He only barks at other dogs or when someone gets too close to me, otherwise he is very gentle and quiet. Above I caught him eating a freeze pop, he gets into anything.
People mostly comment on how cute he is or ask if he's a Yorkie or Maltese, it's usually hard for people to decipher and I love that. I live in a big apartment and he does fine with that, although he has eaten through a few laptop cables and shoes if I'm not home on time. Hes very smart, learns quickly and can jump almost 4 feet in the air, which makes it impossible to gate him, because he jumps over them or climbs over them, we tease and call him little "Mc Gyver."
I take him everywhere and usually people don't know he's there because hes so quiet. He also loves riding in cars, sleeping, walking miles which can easily make him lose 1/5 of his body weight considering he's only 5lbs. Loves to play fetch, listen to music and watch animal planet, and yes ladies he's single. One thing he does thats funny is if I have guest, that's when he'll run out of my room with underwear in his mouth...classic.
He hates dressing up to go outside, baths and brushing his teeth. But you'll usually find him nestled up next to me, or playing peekaboo with me. I love him!

Our little Morkie, Muffit, has a pedigreed Maltese mother and a pedigreed Yorkie father. She is four months old and weighs maybe 3 1/2 lbs. She was black and amber with white toes at birth, but she has progressively lightened to a soft golden color with a few silver or dark colored hairs around her face, etc.
She is very intelligent and learns very quickly. She is high energy and full of spunk. She has adapted well with our 20 lb. declawed cat and they play very well together since Muffit always wants to play and chase and be chased. She does the same with our very soft-mouth German Shorthair. They tease each other with toys and have a gay old time.
Muffit does well walking on a leash and stays where she should beside me. She sleeps with me at night contentedly curled up by my side on top of the covers or under. She has done this from the first night I brought her home at seven weeks. She loves people and especially children. We have to make sure she is calm and submissive first because she gets a little too excited.
I think a Morkie is an ideal dog to have. We enjoy her very much.

My Morkie is 14 weeks old, does not listen, finding it hard to train and I am home 24/7 with him. He is the dominate and pee pooh in the house even if he did it just then outside. He barks aggressive, bites not putty bite but Bites. I watch the Dog Whisperer and I have tried all he does on his show.
I got him from friends that breed their Yorkie and this time they wanted a Morkie. He was the only one in his litter. I am planning to find me a dog trainer in my area to help me. He is blocked off in the kitchen due to he goes potty every 5 minutes inside. I timed him. He hold it for 8 hours at night in his sleep cage.
I would not get another Morkie, I had a Spitz Mix and a Sheltie and both were so easy to train. This is the hardest dog I even had to train. He rides feet too and He will be getting Fixed Jan. 2nd. Maybe that will help in his bad behaviors. He also does not like held. No cuddle either. We have had him around other dogs and he dominates them too.
Any Suggestions...email me at

My Morkie Booskie is an energetic ball of love. At 1 year old, he weighs about 5 pounds and is a fiesty little character. He is very loving and a complete sweetheart, but that doesn't stop him from wanting to roll with the big dogs.

Chrystie is of course the dog on the left with the purple lamb toy with her brother Hooch the pom on the right with the orange lamb
We bought Chrystie from a local pet store and when we first got her at 10 weeks old she could fit into the palm of my hand easily. She was quiet and out of the way at first but as she grew she became more and more active. She immediately took to my dad and claimed him as her owner and best friend.
She is really playful and can often take off in short bursts of energy, racing around the room in fluid motions. She is easily scared and hates any loud noise. If my dad is home she hides with him if she hears a loud noise. She's quite lazy at times and took over my comforter as her bed. She likes to stalk things and will even crouch down and crawl after something she thinks is prey.
We have two Pomeranians and she is always grabbing their tails and dragging them around or taking their toys and making them whine. She's got a louder bark than any of our dogs, save the Australian Shepard, and is often taking on bigger dogs in defiance. She scared my grandma's Rottweiler into a corner when he upset her.
She likes high pitched sounds and has huge perked up ears earning her the nickname "Satellite Ears" or "Sirius Radio Radar". She is often times too much of a daddy's girl and will rudely push anything out of her way to get to him. She sticks to close for no reason and will whine and get in your face if you ignore her.
All in all she's very loyal and hyperactive but also laid-back and aggressive. It may sound contradicting but if you own a dog, you know what that means.

Killer is now 9 mo old & weighs 8 1/2 lbs. The last picture I posted was when he was 5 months old. Killer walks into the puppy park scratching and kicking with his hind legs, letting everyone know he is the king of the jungle. It's funny because people who don't know his name have called him killer while we're out on walks.
I don't know who has a worse case of separation anxiety, him or me. He makes us laugh, loves to snuggle up on your lap, and gets into everything!!! He will literally wait until you leave the room to get into what he's not supposed to.
He will eat anything (paper) that lands on the floor and gives a heck of a chase. He is always looking for something to run out of the room with. He is full of energy, yet at the same time can be a quite the couch potato.

Ginger is the most lovable dog I've ever had. She is happy and playful and very attached to her mommy, but loves everybody who will rub he tummy. She greets me at the door every night after work with hugs and kisses, so happy that she finally has somebody to love.
She loves to play fetch, and has a great memory. I can tell her to go and find her ball and off she will go in search of it, and always remembers where it is. Actually just the other morning we were playing fetch and the ball rolled under the microwave stand where she couldn't reach it. Two days later in the evening I asked her "Ginger where's your ball?" she went straight for that microwave stand and started to cry. She actually remembered right where she lost it. lol it was so cute I just had to move the cupboard to get it. The thing that I though was really great was that she already knew how to fetch I didn't have to show her. When she was a pup I got her a ball, the first time I threw it she just brought it back and dropped it in front of me so that I would throw it again. She just loves to chase it.
Although she practically trained herself as far as listening to me I had a terrible time house breaking her. Nothing would work. Finally over time ( I'm talking 2 years she was finally trained to go pee outside) It took alot of patience and understanding but she got it. It was very important that I didn't get really mad and yell at her because she would just get scared and go and pee on the floor again. Instead when she went on the floor I would show it to her tell her calmly to go pee OUTSIDE (emphasizing the word outside) and then I would put her on a time out in the bathroom. I think because she loves so much to spend time with me. Making her be alone when she knew I was there was enough of a punishment.
She is so empathetic as well. For awhile I lived at my parents house with her. My parents have two other dogs, which she got along with perfectly. It's funny though because If one of the other dogs wanted in from outside she would jump up on the couch and cry and look at you and then out the window then back at you and so on until somebody got up to let her doggy friend in. She is just so loving.
Don't let her small size fool you either. She is protective of her home. When somebody drives in the driveway she will always bark and make sure I know what she means, and if there are any weird noises in the night she makes sure I'm awake to check it out.
She's also great in the morning when you need to wake somebody up. Whenever my boyfriend sleeps over in the morning I'm usually up first and downstairs drinking my coffee. Of course Gingers there too. I will ask her "Ginger where's Matthew. go wake up Matthew, off she will go to the bedroom, up on the bed and jumps and licks and digs into the covers until she knows that he is up.. it's so cute to watch her.
If you are considering getting a Morkie like my little Ginger bear in mind that she needs lots of love and attention and doesn't like to spend alot of time alone. She sleeps with me every night and follows me around during the day. And as far as the housebreaking goes just be patient. They will catch on.. it will just take some time. But believe me it will be well worth it. I will never get another breed of small dog. She is just perfect.

Hello! I'm am the proud owner of a 9-1/2 week old Morkie... Penelope! She's a treasure. I've been on this site reading away for about a week and have learned some very useful tips.
Thank you all who've contributed to the site, it's a great reference for a new Morkie mommy. Penelope is learning beautifully and very quickly I might add. I'm amazed by how quickly she's becoming housebroken. I've read this is also the case with a lot of other Morkie owners as well. Okay, thanks for letting me share.

We were told that Leo was a full bloodied Yorkie, but as you can see from his picture, he is mixed with something else which might be a Maltese!!
He was 3 lbs when I got him at 6 weeks of age.... He now weighs 12.5 lbs. and his coloring is blonde, black, sliver and some beige... He is an adorable pet and I love him, but I've often wondered just what breed he really is!!! Could he be a Morkie?

He is a very smart feisty pup! He is 10 mo. old now and is a big part of our family. Still in training, he is quick to learn and is agreeable for the most part!
Although he has an "in your face" attitude like a Yorkie, he will also be the first one to snuggle up to on the couch at the end of the day. Perfect mix. He is 13 lbs at the moment, big for a Morkie!

Lulu is the sweetest little dog! She is extremely playful and super cuddly. Every time I walk down the street people stop me to ask what kind of dog she is and pet her.
She's never met a person or dog she didn't like. I took her to puppy training which she picked up really quickly. She's very smart. The only thing we haven't loved is that she chews EVERYTHING! But, as long as we keep things off the floor we've been fine.
I have grown so attached to her I just LOVE her so much. The Yorkie Maltese is such a wonderful mix.

Bella is the sweetest dog. She is almost 2 years old (as of 8/6/08) and has both the bold and shy kind of personality that seems to be characteristic of Morkies.
She is truly a lapdog. As long as she is with us, she is happy. She tends to scratch at the door and molding when we're not home. (I think she thinks she can dig her way out!)
For a while, we tried to set up a play area to contain her while we were at work. (We live in a condo and we can't come home in the middle of the day to let her out.) But she would always manage to find a way out. She is too smart for her own good. Nothing gets past her!
Bella is sweet, loyal and protective when she has to be. One thing we especially appreciate is that she's not yappy at all! She has us wrapped around her little paw!

Bella is a 1 year old Morkie. We love like one of the kids. She is very playful and friendly. She loves kids. She plays fetch, keep away and hide and seek.
My husband was not very excited about getting a little dog because he wanted a dog he could play with. Bella has changed his mind. The two of them love to play.

I'm guessing she's a Morkie. Not sure. But she sure looks like one. She's sweet, lovable, cuddly and just an awesome dog. What do you think? Is she really a Morkie or not?

I am from the Netherlands and till today I had never heard of Morkies. I find this very nice, because I have also a Morkie. He is called Gabber and is more than 13 years old!
Gabber is if a child for me. His mother was Maltese and his father a mini Yorkshire. Gabber is a very lovely dog and even now he is still naughty. He is crazy to play with its cuddling bears. He don’t like walk on the beach because there no trees. The forest is his favorite.
Gabber is very good-natured of character and does not like to be alone. It is a dog with a great character and very very faithful. But with biscuits you can buy him. I like to be in contact with other people who have an Morkie.

My Morkie is 12 months old. She is very intelligent and was house trained by the time she was 12 weeks old. We have a dog act were we take peanut and my other two dogs to schools, children's birthday parties etc and put on a show for children.
I started teaching Peanut a few of the tricks the dogs do in the show, and she now she is in the show as fully trained. What Peanuts part in the show is riding her skateboard, standing up and rolling a barrel, sitting in a little baby pram,(trolly), and being pushed by the other dog, and taking a little plastic bowl and putting it on a table for her breakfast, and also she is trained to pinch the bowl out of a persons hand and run off with it into a little kennel. The children in the audience fall in love with her, especially when she sits on her box with a big pink dummy in her mouth, lol. One of my other dogs is so talented at performing tricks she has made live tv apperances, documentries, and commercials, and loves doing xmas musicals in theatre. So I am hoping Peanut will be as talented, as I would like to put her in theatre and TV as well.
Peanut is so lovable I am really glad i bought her. I have always loved Maltese and Yorkies so when I first saw someone with a Morkie I fell in love with it. so went to the breeder. Peanut looks more like her mother the Yorkie, she loves sitting on peoples knee when we have visitors and being cuddled, she loves everyone. She sleeps on my bed and curls up into the back of my legs. She is my baby and I cannot believe how quick she picks tricks up, she just loves being a part of our show.
She has her passport and now travels from the UK through France and into Spain with us twice a year, were she performs in hotels.

Jagger is our 2 year old Morkie! He has a great personality. He is very energetic and loves to go on a walk every day. He doesn't have a favorite person in our house. He loves everyone!!
He weighs approximately 10 pounds which is a good size for our household with 5 kids although we still are careful not to step on him! Jagger loves to play ball or should I say "keep away!" He loves to be chased and he loves to wrestle. He is incredibly smart and has learned to sit and walk on his hind legs. He will do just about anything for a treat and is pretty demanding about getting his fill of treats each day. Jagger loves to "mark" new things left on the floor so we have to be diligent about keeping the house picked up. When he is scolded or corrected, we have to be sure not to be too harsh because he has a tender heart and gets upset when anyone else is upset.
He loves our other dog, Roxanne (a Cocker-Bichon) and snuggles up to her throughout the day. He also is a "baby" and loves to be carried and snuggled. Jagger has the cutest eyes and the sweetest expressions and that is probably the reason he gets away with everything! We love our Morkie!!

I love my Morkie baby. I have had her for 2 months now and she is the sweetest little dog, ever. She has such a wonderful personality and just loves to cuddle. Additionally she is extremely smart.
My Morkie absolutely loves to pose for pictures. She would lay on that pillow all day, just to have her picture taken. :)
I am glad to have found this site...

My little Morkie Mindy is 8 months old and weighs 6lbs. She is very spoiled and LOVES to play. She is quite a character who is always doing something good for a laugh.
Mindy is very mild tempered and loves kids. The closer they are to her size the better. I think she likes them because she can reach them to give them kisses. She also loves our cat, although the feeling is NOT mutual, lol.
Mindy enjoys pouncing pets and people, anyone who will join in her game. Everything seems to be a game to her and she especially likes to play tag, YOUR IT! Mindy has been a great addition to our family, I'm glad we picked a Morkie.

My Meeko is the sweetest most loving dog I've ever owned. My Morkie has alot of energy and loves to play, he loves chasing me around the house and loves snuggling when it's bed time, he's the cutest little dog and gets along great with our other animals, were still working on training him but he's only four months old. If I were to get another dog it would be a Morkie I'm so happy with him!!
